@KilledWomennw I find it shocking that over 25 years since I started working in domestic abuse these figures have not shifted at all. I welcome the trained DA workers in police call centres but hope these will not lead to moving money out of other vital services.

For the tenth year, government minister Jess Phillips MP has marked International Women's Day by standing in the House of Commons and reading the names of the women killed by a man in the UK in the last twelve months. itv.com/news/2025-03-0… This is the first time Phillips has spoken since her party came to power, in her capacity as Secretary for Safeguarding and Violence against Women and Girls. It took over four minutes to read the names of the 95 women, provided by the Femicide Census.

@DeborahMeaden Just did it online in Ireland on the Red Cross website. It took 3- 4 minutes and I’m an eejit. All set. All I need to do now is tell the wife. We did discuss, she’ll be fine. She’s the best.
