@kzitouni1 I’m in that bucket - it like shouting into the wind. Nice to know that even when I 20x subscribers, I’ll still be shouting into the wind…

building on X really sucks if you're posting and getting 2 likes its cardinal rule to be social if you're gonna post on social media.

All VCs saying that there's never a better time to be building in AI. At the same time, some VCs saying that ~50% AI startups won't survive because their products are being eaten alive by the big labs. Funny that.
This Week in Startups@twistartups

A second-time founder just raised $15M Series A from a top-tier VC. Six months later, he's returning the money… Not because Claude shipped a feature, but because looking forward 5 years, he decided his "data moat" wouldn't survive. @everywhereVC's Jenny says her peers all have a version of this story now. So what does it even mean to have a moat in 2026?

is it just me, or is anthropic eating the world? I saw so much hate on openai for using their api early as data for project development - funny that

@UncleHODL @sayinshallah It helps you create, buddy 😆 jk but kinda not I have used it but I assume it uses AI to analyze your content and gives "suggestions" on how to do it better

@testingcatalog interesting, also in light of the recent launch of xchat. What's with all the new chatting apps and features, am i missing something?

Honestly guys, fix the value of your plans. The avalanche of local agents is around the corner and they’re all going to be on $20 ChatGPT subscriptions if you don’t pull up your socks. A $2500 monthly token bill is just not going to win you the market in the long term.

Starting June 15, paid Claude plans can claim a dedicated monthly credit for programmatic usage. The credit covers usage of: - Claude Agent SDK - claude -p - Claude Code GitHub Actions - Third-party apps built on the Agent SDK

@KaiXCreator No, or if they do, they’re running their agents very inefficiently and probably doing a lot of random work not that much value

Does anyone actually run 20 agents in parallel?

@kunchenguid My personal experience has been exactly the same - huge monthly costs with a whole bunch of lip service. Meanwhile my $20 cGPT oauth is running laps on value and consistent usage. Controversial take, but big strategy questions and thinking should come from a human anyway.

since many people are getting tricked by Anthropic’s sugar coating, let me further clarify what the change really is programmatically invoking claude through “claude -p” (and equivalent) is how a lot of people have been using claude. this was an approved use case of the subscription quota since a year ago and people built various advanced tools and workflows with this the change today makes it so that such usage can no longer draw from the original subscription quota. instead, they now get charged at API pricing which can be over 25x more expensive than subscription quota if i keep using my claude subscription the same way, last month it cost me $200. next month it will cost me over $5500 - Anthropic will give me $200 credit back from the $5500 expense so I pay $5300 please don’t get tricked into thinking this is a “new free credit pool”. it’s taking back something that’s been part of the subscription value since the beginning

it's official. Anthropic pulled the plug on ALL programmatic use of claude subscription i've found myself increasingly bullish about OpenAI a few key reasons - 1. Anthropic's only lead was on coding, and gpt 5.5 has flipped that already. coding with gpt 5.5 fast mode is an experience nothing else can match right now 2. OpenAI has voice, image, video - when building my AI tutor app, it became very clear OpenAI was the ONLY viable platform choice 3. it took an Anthropic to see the "Open"-ness of OpenAI. Anthropic is destroying its developer ecosystem with changes like this which tells their subscribers they can't use the best apps out there on Anthropic's models - they can only use Anthropic's apps. Codex on the other hand remained an open platform for developers to build on not just trying to dunk on Anthropic - i genuinely hope they change their strategy and recognize that the world needs them to focus on making better, faster, and cheaper models, not locking everyone into their apps

Dead internet theory suggests that >50% of the internet is bots and automated traffic. That number will soon reach >99%. Imagine you’re looking at your feed and it’s just slop, slop, slop - everything is optimised to tickle you in the right spot. Where are the humans?

As AI learns to meet all our needs and give us instant gratification, why bother with other humans? Interaction with humans will seem high-friction whereas interaction with AI will seem frictionless. I wonder what the mental health and socioeconomic implications of that are?

Vibe coding is like creator superpowers, now you can literally will products into existence. However it’s only one part of the equation - the other is distribution. Without distribution, you’re just building a field of dreams.
