@ActualAero The only reason this game for a 9 is the fact it’s FF7 content. People love the sloppiest of slop long as it’s based on FF7.

This reminds me of that reviewer who gave FF7 Rebirth a 9 and the reasoning for why they took a point away was because the game had too much content…like

Modern Final Fantasy doesn't respect your time, I'm almost 30 hours into Rebirth and I feel like I did only 2 hours of the main story. Meanwhile the other 28 hours is: Filler cutscenes, generic Sony-world map sidequests,mini games etc.

@Zephiros @CandyStripeNia I try and Platinum every FF game. The only way I made it through this game was my foot was broken and I was bed ridden for 6 months. Other wise no way.

rebirth is some of the most fun ive had just exploring worlds and doing quests seems insane to just want to rush it for msq there is the og ff7 if you want that 😭

Maybe inspired by the synergy between the PlayStation and Namco’s arcade-compatible hardware, Sega also developed the Dreamcast and NAOMI together to make arcade-to-console ports much easier for their own games. Because of that, it wasn’t the massive leap that Model 3 had been, but it still ended up getting a huge variety of games from not only Sega, but many other companies as well. Popular titles like Marvel vs. Capcom 2 and Capcom vs. SNK 2 were also NAOMI-based games.
What was disappointing, though, was the irony that Virtua Fighter 4 never came to the Dreamcast and was instead released on the PlayStation 2.

Locking this because people think I never played a JRPG before, I'm hating Rebirth, don't know about Ubisoft open world format and because apparently I can't tell what's optional or not. But none of that was my point.

@Dynamite_Derek Rebirth is a mess. Just crap tacked on to pad run time and they butcher a few key scenes of the main story on top of all that.
I got the Platinum and what a nightmare that was. I actually enjoyed Remake more getting its Platinum but Rebirth is a whole different level of awful.

@BowTiedPrivacy I’ve run both instances on VmWare then Proxmox now UnRaid. The instance it self is stored on a RAID1 Gen4 1tb Nvme(s), both have access to a 48gb ram drive for transcoding.

But it’s all not worth $749.99 or what they want is to make you pay monthly for access to your content.
JellyFin is getting better just not quite wrapped up nice as Plex.

Plex has announced a price increase for new Lifetime Plex Pass subscriptions. Starting July 1, 2026, the one-time cost will rise from $249.99 to $749.99. Existing lifetime subscribers will be grandfathered in with no changes to their accounts or benefits. Monthly and annual Plex Pass subscriptions remain unchanged. The company states the adjustment supports the platform's ongoing value and long-term development. Current users can still buy at the old price until the effective date.

Yeah JFin UI is sluggish at times vs Plex. Actually watching is better in JFin but subtitle support isn’t the best.

@BowTiedPrivacy Accessing Jellyfin outside of the network is painful. Plex makes this so easy. Also, Jellyfin's interface was worse than Plex the last time I tried it, not sure if it has since changed.
