I’m not a doomer an AI at all. I think the nature of work, particularly entry level jobs will change. Ai will make business more complicated and competitive. Not less. Which means more layers where humans have to make decisions before the next process can happen And there will be millions, if not more, local models. We will we modify and train them for our lives and the businesses we create. Just leveraging the foundational models for things we don’t have access to. Maybe the new gig economy will be the models that represent our lives and the knowledge and experiences each one of us train those models on, and we get hired by companies for access to those models ? Thoughts ?

I’m horrified by reports that more than 100,000 children – including many U.S. citizens – have been separated from their loved ones by the Trump Administration. While any number of family separations is unacceptable, this number is more than double the estimates provided by the Admin. These cruel policies go against our values as a nation and cause permanent and irreparable damage to thousands of children and their families. There must be accountability, and the Trump Admin needs a plan to reunite these families.

So Mike Johnson and many republicans are against banning Members of Congress from trading stocks because inflation makes their salary less valuable. Here’s an idea: if $174k a year isn’t enough for you, then resign and let someone who is willing to work the job do it. There are plenty of young people who would be willing to give up stock trading for that salary. And they would actually get stuff done. And if $174k isn’t enough for people to take care of their family, then how the hell is minimum wage?
