I havent been this excited about a new #SEO tool since I first saw Web Position Gold... Okay, that's probably not fair - @screamingfrog meets the grade, and I've used some pretty cool stuff, but this one is an incredibly useful time saver. searchcommander.com/blog/search-co…

Flipped on the #oscars right during the sound awards... Anyone else notice that the sound for the show is actually awful? I thought it was a bit! Has it really been this bad the whole time?

Got a timestamp? Although I think what I was talking about was Google's documentation on helpful content. developers.google.com/search/docs/fu… When they first gave it to us, it didn't make sense because we couldn't imagine an algorithm that would reflect the things in this document. And also much of what was ranking didn't reflect what was in this document. But the more that I learn about how the AI systems behind search work and are fine-tuned on the rater ratings and the results of live tests with real searchers, it makes sense that the system is built to reward the type of content that people tend to find helpful and satisfying.

@AnthonyHigman I've always assumed the wall was more of a short fence. Google has long rewarded RCS (real company stuff) and "real companies" do tend to advertise.

Im Seeing Some Weird Things Recently On Google That Seem To Imply That They May Have Removed The Wall Between SEO And Ads And Are Actively Allowing Ads To Influence Organic Rankings. Anyone Else Seeing This?

Our @Meta Ads account appears to have randomly been suspended this morning. No alert, no notice, no reasoning at all. I had to go to Account Quality in Business Manager to even see the suspension. We follow the guidelines, etc... and to our knowledge never did anything to violate them. Anyone ever had to deal with this before / recently? cc @herrmanndigital @Gil_RunDMG @AkvileDeFazio

@MrMunchWeb Valid, but I dunno about "no ad spend". I know I've seen em, even TV commercials - and @Semrush does say they get over half a million a month in paid traffic. Still a drop in the bucket vs. their organic.

Canva gets 100 million free visitors every month. No ad spend. No agency retainer. No CPC climbing to $80. They built 24,000 targeted pages around what their buyers search. Translated them into dozens of languages. Let search do the rest. That’s organic compounding. You build once, and it pays forever. PPC works differently. The second you stop paying, the traffic stops. Every click is a rental. The math is brutal for paid-only brands. Not to mention that 37.5% of internet users already run ad blockers. Canva figured that out early. Most ecom brands are still renting clicks wondering why margins keep shrinking. Are you building something you own, or paying for traffic that disappears the moment you pause a campaign?

Just a year ago, I couldn't code. So whenever our team at @Ahrefs shipped something API-related, I'd scroll right past it. Not my world. But these days I spend multiple hours a day vibe-coding handy little tools and automations using Claude Code and Lovable. And all of a sudden APIs are kind of a big deal to me. That being said... We just made all Web Analytics data in Ahrefs available via API! 🔥 And it's 100% free! (It's also available as an MCP server, so you can query your Web Analytics data directly from chatbots.) Here's how to get started: Every Web Analytics report now has an "{} API" button that generates a ready-to-use query for your current view (filters and all). Just copy the code and pass it to your AI agent. If you still think APIs are "for developers only"... that era is over. Happy building! 😉

I asked Claude: I have $1,000. Where do I put it to make the most money in 30 days? Expected the usual. Index funds. High yield savings. Maybe stocks. Instead Claude said something I wasn't ready for. Find a prediction market bot on GitHub that buys events priced under 3 cents. Deploy it with $1,000. Let it run for 30 days. Most bets will lose. The ones that hit will pay 500x. I laughed. Then Claude added one line: Someone is already doing this. Search planktonXD. I searched. planktonXD. $98,241 profit. 72,533 predictions. Joined February 2025. Bio: having fun. → Wallet: t.me/PolyGunSniperB… Starting capital: just over $1,000. Same number Claude told me to start with. $15.05 on zero earthquakes worldwide. Payout: $1,330. ROI: 8,742%. 72,533 bets. $5 to $25 each. Most go to zero. But when one hits at 0.2 cents it pays 500x. Claude explained the math: $15 on 100 events at 1 cent. 99 die. You lose $1,485. One hits. Pays $1,500. Break even. Two hit? You double. Three? Triple. planktonXD found more than three. $1,000 → $98,241. I asked Claude: Should I copy this? Claude: I can't give financial advice. But mathematically the edge exists as long as the crowd overprices fear and underprices chaos. I put in $100 that night. Copied 12 positions under 2 cents. Went to sleep. Woke up. One hit. $100 → $673. I didn't ask Claude for stock picks. I asked where $1,000 goes the furthest. It pointed me to a wallet that turned that exact amount into $98K. 53,700 people are watching. The bot is still running. Bio still says having fun. I asked Claude one more thing: What would you name this strategy? Claude: Buying lottery tickets where the math is on your side.

Today at @yoast we’re shipping something I've actually wanted to see on the web for some time (even before working at Yoast) and am now honored to be part of the team to bring this to the masses... Built in collaboration with the Open Source and NLWeb team at @Microsoft lead by @rv_guha (co-creator of schema.org, RSS, RDF and other web standards) - we're introducing the Schema Aggregation feature: a "schemamap" endpoint that outputs your site's entire structured data map in one place. Under the hood, we now provide a standardised, deduplicated map of your entities via a single endpoint. An agent no longer needs to crawl all individual pages to understand its meaning but can now ingest an entire entity map with ease. A few details to note about the endpoint: - It's is cacheable with sub‑100ms responses - It respects existing privacy and indexing settings - It aggregates all indexable content without navigation noise - It merges duplicate entities so your "Author X" or "Article Y" exist as a single node instead of being re‑discovered on every URL. - If you're using one of our paid plugins that extends schema even more (such as Yoast WooCommerce SEO adds product schema) this will be populated within the endpoint too - If you already extend Yoast’s Schema API, or use partners like events or recipe plugins, their entities are pulled into the same map automatically. For me, this is one of the first major ways the agentic web can ingest a site at scale, and with much more efficiency and context. It has also been so much fun to work with this alongside the team at Yoast, particularly the genius mind of @schlessera. Lastly, we have also launched a schema visualisation tool to view how everything is output. You can enable this feature today with the free version of Yoast SEO.

I really hope @TeamViewer @TeamViewer_help goes bankrupt. - [sic] "You bought a a lifetime license? Well that didn't mean YOUR lifetime. And it still works over a LAN, just not the Internet, so technically we didn't lie to steal your $800."

At least half the time someone gives me their username and password to anything it doesn't work. That's why I test them immediately. So frustrating.
