@sheq___ @Airbnb Yes, perhaps some semantics on the timing here. Not denying that after initial pmf, paid ads played a bigger part.
However, in this talk, when asked about the early growth, Chesky mentions:
- Events
- Word of mouth
- Craigslist growth hack
- PR stunts

@jaentwistle Would recommend more social proof and numbers for sure. Menu/nav of some kind. Better CTA distribution. Post click get started servely underwhelming. And more. DM me your email if want deeper download. Sounds fun.

I want to help 100 founders raise their rounds before the end of the year.
We just unlocked a version of @boardyai that we didn’t think was possible.
Boardy raised his own $8M seed round earlier this year. Since then, he's introduced thousands of founders to investors who have raised millions.
We’ve been testing an overpowered version internally, and the results have been wild - founders are meeting stronger investors and closing rounds in weeks instead of months.
He’s not ready for public release yet (the token costs are insane), but it’s time to start introducing him to the world.
I’m personally working with 100 founders who are actively raising to help them close before the end of the year. You’ll work directly with me and the Boardy team and get early access before this version rolls out next year.
Comment “Boardy” below, and I’ll message you the link to apply.
If you know someone who’s raising, tag them below.

@elliot_garreffa @ZedCodeIO What guide?
Also do you VPN to US too or just US phone and sim?
English

@ZedCodeIO So if you want to target US audience I’d do what I recommend in the guide and find a way to get US phone with US sim
Most certified way to reach that audience

@BuyMoreLink We didn’t they were existing customers but that’s an interesting strategy I think there might be data brokers who have regional data per store.

Not every marketing win comes with perfect attribution. Sometimes, it is a bit more vibe than reporting..
We're about to run our second campaign for Total Wine for BREZ.
Now in TX, FL, MN, NC and SC
No tracking links
No custom landing pages
No attribution model
It crushed the first time
Here’s what we did —
Found out which Total Wine stores carried BREZ in Texas and Florida
Matched those locations with regional email lists
Sent a simple message, “Skip the wait. Find BREZ at your local Total Wine today”
the key was sending for the weekend so people would have the time to go out
A few weeks later, the shelves were cleared 🥹 ❤️
I’ve spent a long time building campaigns where every step gets tracked, analyzed, and optimized
I was skeptical that it would be impactful enough, people don’t always move in straight lines.. they want what they want, and they want it now
that meant skipping shipping delays and giving a ‘you can have it today’ option (more on this later)
It can't always be ‘if you can’t measure it, don’t do it,’
Sometimes, the best results come from the simplest moves
tldr, simple sells with a clear message
