As an educator who encourages young(er) people to speak up despite their "shaky voices," I think this is an awful take. I watched this call with my 10 yr old daughter so she could see what it looks like to show up for your values. That's not called cringe, that's called bravery.

I haven’t seen anybody on here today point out that, for tenured professors, second books are how you get a promotion and thus a raise and you use the money you get for that to feed your family and live on earth. You exchange the money for goods and services.
