It’s not confusing at all. I’m sure it was one of our military strategies from the beginning. It will cause the rest of the world to pressure Iran to abandon their work on nuclear weapons and open the Strait. It’s an effort to get these other countries to do what they should have done weeks ago.

I’m confused If Trump now blockades Strait of Hormuz that will mean LESS oil and gas on global market which means WORSE global economic crisis What am I missing?

I am genuinely struggling to understand this logic. If the rest of the world is willing to pay a small toll to Iran to keep oil flowing and stabilise markets, then why does the U.S. feel the need to block all shipping, especially when it is not dependent on that oil?

JUST IN - Trump orders the U.S. Navy to blockade the Strait of Hormuz to "any and all ships trying to enter, or leave." Also instructing the U.S. Navy to seek and interdict every vessel in international waters that has paid a toll to Iran: "No one who pays an illegal toll will have safe passage on the high seas."

How's all the fucking MAGAs on here praising Trump for fucking the global oil supply coz it's good for the US, and that's all that matters.

Trump is playing a 6-D chess with Iran. The US has enough oil and with Venezuela's oil, they now have enough to sell. The Strait of Hormuz is the only route where potential US buyers get oil. And Trump already advised countries to buy oil from the US if they can't open the Strait themselves. Now, Iran is thinking that closing the Strait of Hormuz is a big win over the US. Meanwhile, a closed Strait of Hormuz means extra oil buyers for the US. No matter how you spin it, Trump still has all the cards in his back pocket.
