We have raised a $110 billion round of funding from Amazon, NVIDIA, and SoftBank. We are grateful for the support from our partners, and have a lot of work to do to bring you the tools you deserve.

@jaredpalmer @github @georgebrock Didn’t expect the current version to be a dropdown, looks more like a link. Put stacked PRs in the right hand column and show me links to all the PRs

Stacked Diffs on @GitHub will start rolling out to early design partners in an alpha next month. In the meantime, here's video of our progress so far: (h/t for @georgebrock + team for their awesome work)

Bun is not running GC at all. I want to remind everyone that Bun is not running JavaScript at all, it’s just a zig wrapper around JavaScriptCore that provides access to the platform. People around are literally thinking they made JavaScript engine because of tweets like this

@AlexFinn @0xSero They ones who say it’s stupid are trying to hoard the minis all for themselves

@0xSero very smart move. it's been fashionable the last week to call mac minis stupid, but honestly it's by far the best, most powerful, safest way to run this. Humans cost $100,000 a year. This costs $600.

🦞 I caved Openclaws is genuinely useful and impressive but it needs its own environment. 6-700$ is a good price for an always on assistant. I have a Linux box but I would rather get it all setup for the robot explicitly.

I genuinely believe GitHub desktop is the best Git client for most people The design is simple but it's excellent for day to day work of swapping branches, cherry picking, undoing commits, stashing, previewing PRs - one of their best products

Kind of symbolic about GitHub how it no longer has a CEO - Microsoft never backfilled Thomas Dohmke after stepping down. LinkedIn has one. Microsoft AI even has one. GitHub now reports into a blob group called “CoreAI.” Busy with reorgs, realignment - while competition busy building

This is true - GitHub’s reputation seems to be slowly but surely 📉 Just 4 years ago they were years ahead of anyone with Copilot (Cursor would launch 2 years after GH Copilot beta) Today, as competitors zoom past GH + Copilot, GitHub busy pissing off devs. For what?
Mitchell Hashimoto@mitchellh

I think in a moment when GitHub’s reputation amongst developers is at an all time low, making the policy change to charge for self hosted runners in any scenario instead of making other technical changes to make GH runners more attractive will go down as a very bad move.

screenshots are broken on iOS 26 to where it's now impossible to copy and delete them and there's no indication it took a screenshot and it's driving me insane

Skeleton loaders are cool! But after a bit of looking, I couldn't find an implementation in React that had the loading line persist across elements. So I built my own! It's framework agnostic & supports React/Vue All cuz I got nerd sniped by a mockup from @edpratti (as usual)
