When we were starting Bellish, we needed a current account simple, right? Not really. Our first preference was ICICI Bank. We walked in, and they looked at me and Aditya like we didn’t belong there. The response? Not serious at all. They told us we’d need collateral to open a current account like what even is that? That was our first experience before even starting our unit and honestly, it hit hard. Next, we tried SBI. Spent almost an hour there, and no one was even ready to help. Imagine opening a bank account feeling this hectic. Just because we were students, they assumed we weren’t legit. Then came HDFC Bank our third option. And this time, things changed. They actually listened. even though they visited our home to make sure we weren’t fraud. Fast forward to today every time we visit the branch, they offer us tea. Funny how things change. From being doubted to being respected that’s the journey.
