@blharreld Alternatively -- I participate in every hiring committee for my ID team and a clearly human written letter instantly gets attention. If you can write, show me. Not applicable for every job because we manually screen applicants rather talk using software.

When I was transitioning from teaching to instructional design AI wasn't as pervasive as it is now, but it was there. I'd still recommend getting a human to help you review your resume, but cover letters... Have AI write the cover letters. Copy/paste the job description and tell it to write your cover letter based on that. There were a couple very helpful people on LinkedIn that helped with my resume. Erin Lewber (don't think she has an X account) was super helpful with polishing up my CV.

In 2026, having a social media presence is a necessity for teams and drivers. Creating a brand as a driver, is important. Lots just don't want to do it, because it is time consuming... Attention is key. Capitalizing on attention matters in 2026 - Sponsors care about it.
