@54JohnBull @GBNews23653867 Cars maybe safer, but this leads to complacenty with drivers taking more risks knowing they probably won't die in a crash, far more traffic on the roads today, and has road infrastructure really improved enough or would £££ need to be spent to let a few drive a few mph more?

@GBNews23653867 70mph is an arbitrary speed that was considered suitable for mid 1960's cars. 80mph is a safe speed for vehicles that are many times more reliable and effective than 60 years ago.

🚨A friend of ours suffered a brain injury that left her in a wheelchair and needing round the clock care. And all because a driver had to do 89mph on the motorway. That costs the taxpayer thousands a month, her life ruined at 23. Now Rupert wants to repeat this with others.

@RupertLowe10 Nice, let's see those KSI massively increase; possibly one of the stupidest ideas any party can come up with,70 is more than enough on motorways as driving standards in the UK are terrible, 20 is sensible in LTN's, maybe more enforcement of current speed limits would be better

A Restore Britain Government would back British drivers. How? Raise the speed limit on motorways to 80mph. Remove all 20mph zones, other than those outside schools or areas with vulnerable individuals. Our current 70 mph speed limit was implemented decades ago, for a completely different type of car with completely different capabilities - far lower safety standards, poorer braking, and less advanced handling. It is unnecessarily slow, plenty of other countries sensibly allow for more. 80mph is faster and fair, and Restore Britain would do the unthinkable - trust people to get on with their lives without such overbearing state interference. It boosts business, backs drivers and gets Britain moving. Support Restore Britain to make it 80.

@ConeOfArc Tamiya are a bit pricey but they all go together very well and do not often require much or any filler n sanding Armor is pretty forgiving and easy to hide or even integrate fukups due to their roughly finished nature IRL Airplanes much less forgiving

There is a theory that the rescue operation was actually cover for a failed attack on the Isfahan Nuclear facility. There are several problems with this theory . First Iran state media is not even claiming this and they would love to claim this if there was any evidence. Even Iran state TV is saying it was a rescue operation that succeeded but with American destroyed aircraft. The airstrip the C130s landed at was 100 km from the Nuclear Facility an hour and a half drive. You would need to land much closer and in past operations that the IDF did for example they landed directly on site on a missile base in Syria. There were no reports or video of American assets near Isfahan nuclear facility . There was reports and video evidence that they traveled in the opposite direction 150km south by little bird from the airstrip. People are saying two C130s and hundred commandos is overkill to rescue a pilot . but historically in Vietnam they’ve sent in similar packages multiple AC130s and fighter jets on recovery missions . Standard doctrine for modern day “unconventional assisted recovery” in heavily contested air is to first stage outside the close radius of where the pilot is located. Then extract the pilot out of the immediate area , then fly back to base. Im interested in seeing evidence of an attack on Isfahan nuclear facility . I’m open to it. I just have not seen any actual evidence.

@JeremyVineOn5 4k mer metre, but what does that cover, other than being ragebait for certain 'news' papers, normally there's a lot more that the figures given cover, with the construction costs being the smallest part

Are cycle lanes a waste of money? One in the West Midlands has cost over £4,000 for every metre - totalling to over £5 million. It's been branded a "monumental waste of money" by local residents, who say it would have been better spent on fixing potholes. What do you think?

Councils have narrowed our roads in order to make way for cycle lanes that nobody ever seems to use. There are far more motorists on the road than there are cyclists. Crazy waste of taxpayers money once again.

Yorkshire buses (serving the Leeds, Wakefield, Dewsbury area) has ceased operations. The fact they have been allowed to go under by politicians who shout about Net Zero is monstrous. Mass transit needs subsidy in a fuel crisis unless the goal really is climate lockdown⁉️

#litterpickers I’m wondering how you deal with these if you find them? Our local @Biffa recycling centre charge £9.60 for taking them and @SomersetCouncil say it’s dangerous to remove them and should report as fly tipping! We’re trying to keep our countryside litter free.
