His name is Suchir Balaji. He was 26 years old. Indian-American. An AI researcher at OpenAI for 4 years. He helped build GPT-4. One of the most powerful AI systems in the world. In October 2024 he quit OpenAI and gave an interview to the New York Times. He said OpenAI was training its AI on copyrighted content without permission. He said it was illegal. He was named as a key witness in the NYT lawsuit against OpenAI. He wrote in his journal: “I am a credible threat because of New York Times.” One month after the interview he was found dead in his San Francisco apartment. The official ruling: suicide. His parents say: murder. His pen drive was missing. His computer was left open. CCTV footage for only 2 of 7 days was provided. GHB was found in his system. His cheekbone was broken. A second bullet was allegedly found lodged in his skull by independent radiologists. Elon Musk replied to his mother’s post: “This doesn’t seem like a suicide.” Tucker Carlson said in a September 2025 interview with Sam Altman: “He was definitely murdered.” The SF police closed the case. His mother Poornima Ramarao is still fighting. Alone. From India. Against one of the most powerful companies in the world.

@chriszeuch yeah I believe that's the way to go. Not visualising code as it gets edited is dumb

Claude Code adventure update Didn’t download VSCode and decided to grow some balls and use Claude Code directly like real engineer Currently have 3 terminals open for 3 different repos One where I’m automating an E2E flow in our application A second where I’m working on a set of SKILL files A third where I’m doing cleanup tasks Now I will be honest and say I switch to cursor to review and commit my code so it still feels a bit silly but I can see the value in this process

For 28 years, if you were losing your hair, you had two choices. Minoxidil (a foam, works for about 1 in 3 men). Finasteride (a pill, works better but can cause sexual side effects). That's it. Nothing else since 1997. Two new drugs just arrived, and they work in completely different ways. This one (rezpegaldesleukin) is for people whose immune system attacks their own hair follicles. It retrains the immune system to stop. In the Phase 2b trial, patients grew back scalp hair, and half also regrew their eyebrows and eyelashes. @US_FDA gave it Fast Track. The other (clascoterone) is a cream for the common baldness men get with age. It blocks the hormone responsible, but only on your scalp. No pills. No effect on sexual function. Tested in 1,465 people across two Phase 3 trials: more than 5x the hair growth of placebo. 87 million Americans deal with one of these two conditions. After nearly three decades with nothing new, both showed up in the same year.

There are some great case studies from the deck, too This is after 36 weeks with Nektar's Il-2 receptor agonist, Rezpegaldesleukin, in a patient with alopecia areata
