Claude says "genuinely" so much I built a benchmark about it. GenuineBench: 13 frontier models × 80 everyday writing tasks. Every Claude model says it in ~1 of every 3 responses. Llama 4 has never genuinely meant anything in its life (2.5%).

We are living in the greatest 30 day time period in technology history In the month of July all of these have been released/are expected to be released: • Fable 5: smartest AI model ever • Muse Spark 1.1: Meta back in the race • Opus 5: affordable version of Fable • Grok 4.5: affordable version of Opus + Elon’s back • GPT 5.6: Affordable, lightning fast, better than Fable in some ways • GPT 6: Goblin mode • GPT Work: Amazing new way to work The way you work 30 days from now will be dramatically different than the way you work today You will be significantly more productive with significantly less effort required Thank your God he/she decided you should be alive right now

@arlogilbert This is the biggest headache, especially when you multiply by the number of model providers and the number of models they host

... and this my friends is why you host your own models. Deprecation of models happens SO fast and frequently across all providers that you really have to stay on top of the versions and deprecation schedules. If you host your own model, unless YOU change it, it won't change.

Max Junestrand (@MaxJunestrand), CEO of $5.6B legal AI company Legora (@WeAreLegora), says European startups need to stop complaining & start competing: "My hottest take is that there is a lot of complaining from European startups rather than just locking in & building for the global stage." "I think there's a bit of laziness." "If you wanna build the biggest companies in the world, you need to look past that and you need to understand that you're competing with the US, you're competing with China." "If you wanna win globally, you need to work as hard as they do."

GPT-5.6 from @OpenAI is a three-tier model family designed to match the right capability to the right workflow. We evaluated models Sol, Terra, and Luna on enterprise document tasks: → Sol overall: 64.4% vs GPT 5.5's 63.3% → Healthcare: +12.7pp → Public Sector: +11.0pp → Life Sciences: +9.0pp → Data Analysis: +7.2pp Sol gets the hard, high-value work right. Terra and Luna bring near-flagship quality at 16-19% faster speeds for high-volume production workflows. Read the full evaluation here. 👇 blog.box.com/how-gpt-56-han…

model performance on benchmarks tells you as much about the quality of the benchmark as it does the model

I like choices... but now I have: 2x modes (Codex vs. Work mode) 3x GPT-5.6 models (Sol, Terra, Luna) 5x effort levels (Light, Medium, High, Extra High, Ultra) That's 2 x 3 x 5 = 30 possible configurations for a query 🤯 What happened to "Auto" mode?

real question: is GPT-5.6 already distilled from GPT-6? the jump just doesn't make sense

I'm starting 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐀𝐬𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭 - a hiking series for AI builders in the SF Bay Area. A lot of my favorite conversations with founders and operators happen over dinners or happy hours but some of the best ones lately have happened on the move. I wanted to add another format to the mix. Every other month (or so), I'll get a small group together to conquer a hike.

@tankots @WisprFlow I want to be able to give it rules. If I say “am” it always transcribes as “a.m.” but I prefer “am”. Same with “PT”

The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees. The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance. Access to all other Claude models is not affected. We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible. Read our full statement: anthropic.com/news/fable-myt…
