A few weeks ago my high school football team beat a neighboring town 63-0. The crazy part: That was the score at HALFTIME. The other team forfeited at the half. Go Chieftains.

@allanbranch It’s terrible. No way around it. We made sure the kids said their goodbyes when we knew it was close. If it comes to it use a service that comes to your home so she can be more comfortable. I’m sorry!

Yesterday I dealt with a @Facebook #DDoS attack. Apparently they create fake accounts and then spam links to your site for Facebook to scrape. 8M requests in the last 24 hours for my client. I ended up blocking the user-agent `facebookexternalhit` with @Cloudflare

@BrennanWoodruff That would be cool. A group of us had a coworking spot across the street on the 7th floor of the Coyote (Robey) building. The building was in disrepair, but the views were amazing and the people were even better. I miss that place. @andrewwicklandr @siffring @zackgilbert

@admsteiner Our kids have had a Greenlight card for a while and it’s great. Teaches about saving vs spending, investing, etc. Also automates allowance which is why we started.

Personal finance for kids (10 and under) How did you do it? Thinking of starting a “home bank” to teach them about interest and compounding etc

Man, you can’t beat the @Sonos ecosystem 💯 The convenience of taping a few buttons and you have music playing in multiple rooms 🎶 It’s expensive but worth it imo.

I didn’t know Artem but I’ve had a few friends commit suicide. My initial reaction for years was anger. I viewed it as the ultimate selfish act. Or cowardly. Boy was I wrong. It took a lot of dealing with humans - and bouts of my own depression - to understand that’s not how the person dealing with suicidal thoughts sees it at all. In their minds, at the depth of their despair, the feel they’re departure will UNburden their loved ones. It seems to them that everyone’s problems will go away once they do. They feel their presence is anchor on everyone and those around them can finally be free “once I’m gone”. Even the concern we show them can feel like a weight “I’ll go so you can finally stop worrying about me” Of course this is completely backwards to those looking on, and it should not stop us from helping. But for me, as a non expert!, I think one of the best thing we can do is empathize and then emphasize that you are NOT a burden. ALL your problems are solvable but only if you are HERE. Your friends and family love you and want to help you - but you have stay here with us for us to do that! It is one of life’s greatest gifts to help people come back from the brink, so PLEASE, if you’re struggling give that gift to someone. Let them help you.
