A study of nearly 5,000 parents found that mothers sleep quality stays lower than fathers for up to 6 years after the first baby, even after the child is sleeping through the night. Wild... but I totally believe it. Every mom knows this. After having a baby, your sleep changes. You spend more time in lighter sleep and your brain stays partially alert even while you are asleep. Babies make subtle noises and small movements before they actually cry, and your brain picks up on those and starts waking you before the full cry starts. It almost feels psychic. Once your brain learns to listen for your baby, it does not seem to fully stop.

GORILLA HAIL THREAT maximizes today from Peoria, Illinois through Toledo, Ohio this late afternoon and evening! We expect elevated supercells to erupt by 4-6 pm across northern Indiana and expand across the enhanced risk zone. Any dominant supercells that can steamroll southeast into the warm air will have a chance of a #tornado or two, especially around 7-9 pm. We are activating storm chase mode

Childless boomers will literally tell you “it’s bad that your baby knows she can cry for you to pick her up” instead of going to therapy

the last 25-30 odd years have seen significant system wide change in food manufacturing quality and intensity- and it's not entirely in the US. not all things all at once but it's very noticeable. This includes most meats- but especially the ones that are amenable to factory style industrialization in raising and processing (chicken, eggs, and pork esp) Reese's is claimed to have only minor shifts in recipe for the chocolate and the filling to deal with manufacturing supply chain changes- but minor changes have major effects. probably the most significant change, as with the boarder topic, is that the peanut industry has bred/engineered/selected for enhanced feedstock utility (storage, shipping, extended timelines, ease of harvest) at the expensive of flavor and texture. As with many things, this is sort of a forced tradeoff as what actually tastes good (and smells good, and feels good) is stuff that is less stable overall. It's probably extremely noticable for someone like @Pandurevich who doesn't get the daily dose and see the change in something as iconic as reese's episodically. I had the same experience with Doritos when I went back on the VA Doctor recommended diet plan for a bit to show them their results- it's just not the same as 20 years ago, even the corn smells different. other anecdotal evidence- the turkey 'allergy' my entire household at the time (multiple genetic lines and separate families) in the early 00s when the feed changed. one year we are happily buying up $0.25/pound after holiday frozen turkeys and making stews and soups and sandwiches and the next year we didn't make it through the holiday season because the quality (across the board, all brands) shifted so hard with supply chain changes. I've also discovered soy and corn free eggs recently and some brands of those I can tolerate without very much inflammation, so awesome. If you care, the changes creep into the feed store down the road, so your locally grown pork and chicken may or may not be free of .... call it "contaminated" industrial supply chains. pastured slow growth (hay burner) pork with only supplemental sweet COB or possibly wrangler 10 (iffy, but a *small* amount seems okay even with a monogastric digestive system) this is one reason why cattle stubbornly refuse to be awful- the digestive system really goes to town on inputs. (screenshot in reply because zeta randomly deletes everything)

why have reese's cups gotten so bad in the past 10 years

The idea that resigning in protest is something close "giving up their position of power for the betterment of the country" is totally retarded. Nobody besides retarded libertarians will remember joe Kent for this
