The Rangitoto volcano surrounded in thick fog drifting around the lower Gulf this morning with Kelvin-Helmholtz clouds perched above it. A good potential for spotting fogbows (white rainbows) today as the sun shines through the very small size of water droplets.

My dearest friend #GentlemanJim passed away early this morning following a short illness. For those who’ve followed the Jim adventures over the years, you will know how heartbreaking this is. He’d reached 101 and had lived a good life with his Jean, then his Beth 1/2
