Its been an amazing and challenging journey so far as a software engineering student @facesofalxse. Having completed my first sprint, I have been able to build a personal project that helps ALX students calculate their monthly average score. This will help to know the minimum

This is the man of the moment for many Nigerian employers ... His name is Tosin Eniolorunda, founder of Moniepoint, one of Nigeria’s fastest-growing companies. Speaking at The Platform organized by Poju Oyemade, he said Nigerians are unemployable and justified it by saying his company has 500 vacancies it has struggled to fill. So I checked Moniepoint Career page; there are about 83 open roles and the overwhelming majority are senior-level or highly specialized positions. That is not the same thing as saying there are no employable Nigerians It simply means there is a shortage of highly experienced talent in certain areas This brings me back to what I shared earlier today When Shell came to Nigeria, we had no drilling engineers or geologists that understood how to get oil out of the ground or petroleum engineers to process it to export standard They took the pain to establish a training school that created a talent pipeline for several technical and non-technical roles That investment produced the experts we now see across the oil and gas sector Which is why we now have almost zero expatriates (foreign workers) left in the Nigerian Oil and Gas sector That is how ecosystems are built... Talents does not appear out of thin air They are intentionally developed This is why I keep saying many Nigerian employers have unrealistic expectations Many want world-class output without making world-class investments in people. If you need highly specialized talent, you have two options: Train them or pay a premium to attract them. What you cannot do is complain about a talent gap while refusing to participate in closing it Nigeria is still a young country in tech ...our talent ecosystem is still maturing You either play a part in the growth or continue whining Selah Ogochukwu Okolocha

Fellow Nigerians, good morning. I woke up this morning after my church service with a deeply reflective heart, and despite every constraint, I felt compelled to share these thoughts with you. Many people do not truly understand the silent pains some of us carry daily—the private struggles, emotional burdens, and quiet battles we face while trying to survive and serve sincerely in difficult circumstances. We now live in an environment that has become increasingly toxic, where the very system that should protect and create opportunities for decent living often works against the people—a society where intimidation, insecurity, endless scrutiny, and discouragement have become normal. More painful is when some of those you associate with, believing you would find understanding and solidarity among them, become part of the pressure you face. Some who publicly identify with you privately distance themselves or join in unfair criticism. We live in a society where humility is mistaken for weakness, respect is seen as a lack of courage, and compassion is treated as foolishness—a system where treating people equally is questioned simply because you refuse to worship status, tribe, class, or power. Personally, I have never looked down on anyone except to uplift them. I have never used privilege, position, or resources to oppress others, intimidate the weak, or make people feel small. To me, leadership has always been about service, sacrifice, and helping others rise. Let me state clearly: my decision to leave the ADC is not because our highly respected Chairman, Senator David Mark, treated me badly, nor because my leader and elder brother, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, or any other respected leaders did anything personally wrong to me. I will continue to respect them. However, the same Nigerian state and its agents that created unnecessary crises and hostility within the Labour Party that forced me to leave now appear to be finding their way into the ADC, with endless court cases, internal battles, suspicion, and division, instead of focusing on deeper national problems and playing politics built more on control and exclusion than on service and nation-building. Even within spaces where one labours sincerely, one is sometimes treated like an outsider in one’s own home. You and your team become easy targets for every failure, frustration, or misunderstanding, as though honest contribution has become a favour being tolerated rather than appreciated. And when you choose to leave so that those you are leaving can have peace, and you step out into the cold, you are still maligned and your character is questioned. Despite all your efforts to continue working for a better Nigeria and engaging people with sincerity and goodwill, those who do not wish you well continue to attack your character and question your intentions. There are moments I ask God in prayer: Why is doing the right thing often misconstrued as wrongdoing in our country? Why is integrity not valued? Why is the prudent management of resources, especially when invested in critical areas like education and healthcare, wrongly labelled as stinginess? Why are humility and obedience to the rule of law often taken to be weakness rather than discipline? Let me assure all that I am not desperate to be President, Vice President, or Senate President. I am desperate to see a society that can console a mother whose child has been kidnapped or killed while going to school or work. I am desperate to see a Nigeria where people will not live in IDP camps but in their homes. I am desperate for a country where Nigerian citizens do not go to bed hungry, not knowing where their next meal will come from. Yet, despite everything, I remain resolute. I firmly believe that Nigeria can still become a country with competent leadership based on justice, compassion, and equal opportunity for all. A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO

@LeoKelvin89 @LDNFootbalI No, not true. As of today, no Chelsea player has 30 G/A this season across all comps. Top is João Pedro with ~20 (18 goals + assists). Cole Palmer sits at 13. The claim looks like a meme or mix-up.

Dear Abians, you got a physical card and will also be getting an app, which you can use for scanning the QR code at access to board. You can apply and get the card at any bus shelter, or the terminals close to you. Card is free, first loading is free, but there’s a N50 charge for subsequent loadings. So, it may be best to load larger amounts to last you for a longer period. Visit abiapay.com to get your ABSSIN (Abia State Social Identification Number). Question: What’s the work of ABSSIN? Answer: It is a unique identification system introduced by the Abia State Government. It serves as a personal ID number for residents (both indigenes and non-indigenes living in the state) to help with better governance, data collection, and service delivery. Happy New Week. #InvestInAbia

Yes, staring at your screen all day is exactly why you have that pounding headache and blurry vision. Let me explain how to fix it in 20 seconds. Imagine holding a heavy bucket of water with a straight arm for 8 hours without dropping it. That is exactly what you are forcing the tiny muscles inside your eyes to do every single day. When you look at your phone or laptop up close, these tiny eye muscles have to aggressively squeeze together to focus. Doing this from morning till night makes them work too much. The muscles get extremely tired, causing dry eyes and those headaches that feel like village people are pressing your forehead. But there is a simple hack to save your vision. It is called the 20-20-20 rule. And it works like this: Every 20 minutes, look away from your screen. Find something that is far away from you (like 20 feet away), and look at it for 20 seconds. That's it. Looking far away allows those tiny eye muscles to completely relax. Practice the 20-20-20 rule today, and thank me later. Deal?
