The side built by Mikel Arteta is playing with confidence and purpose, and the push for silverware this season feels very real. Much to the dismay of others ,The Gunners remain firmly in the mix in the Premier League and are still battling away in the UEFA Champions League. 😎😎😎 On top of that, they’ve also reached the quarter-finals of the EFL Cup, so the schedule is packed and the stakes keep rising. Today the Mighty Gunners welcome Everton F.C. to the magnificent Emirates Stadium in North London, a ground that has become a fortress when the crowd gets behind the team. There’s talk that the gaffer, Mikel Arteta, could shuffle the pack after the rather crappy performance away to Bayer 04 Leverkusen @bayer04_en in the Champions League last-16 tie. Arsenal had to dig deep that night and eventually walked away with a 1–1 draw thanks to a late penalty. One area of the predicted lineup that catches the eye is the number ten role. Kai Havertz made a real impact when he came off the bench in midweek, grabbing the equaliser and bringing a bit of urgency to the attack. That kama cameo might be enough to earn him a start just behind the striker. Personally I’d start him there and give Eberechi Eze a breather on the bench. Since the 4–1 demolition of Tottenham Hotspur his performances have been crap,lethargic ,even non existent and the position could use a different spark. Havertz also seems to be developing a nice understanding with Viktor Gyökeres. The movement between the two has looked promising and there have already been a few flashes of what that partnership could become with a run of games together. As for Everton, they’ll arrive ready to scrap for everything. They’re chasing a European place themselves and won’t be turning up in North London just to make up the numbers.
