strategically, I'm not sure why the suns made this move to begin with. Basketball wise, i get it. They took a gamble on a starting center...however, you then take a future starting center with the 10th overall pick. to get williams, the suns gave up TWO 1st round picks AND a future 2nd round pick...which is more than what the lakers gave up (a 1st and a 1st swap + dalton). the suns also did this trade AFTER LA vetoed their own trade due to health concerns...which is exactly why he's missing games now? the suns have done a lot of things right this season and last off season but this move is becoming more and more of a head scratcher...

The year was 1999. Because MicroSoft loved what I did on Age of Empires they demanded I do the expansion pack for Age of Empires II. With Age 1, I did Rise of Rome, which made sense because the ancient days kind of ended with Rome. But there was no obvious successor to medieval tgimes, so I went with the generic "The Conquerors" theme. Naturally we wanted conquest civs. We decided to have 4 (same number as Rise of Rome). I chose the Huns, the Spanish, the Mayans, and the Aztecs. I was SO excited to get Aztecs into a game. And please, no one try to mansplain to me that "Aztecs were bad guys." Friend, I wanted them BECAUSE they were bad guys. Anyway, the Conquerors project was really smooth. We are almost done five weeks ahead of schedule - almost unheard of in a software project. I was so proud. My whole 6-man team was giddy because when we finished we could move onto Age of Mythology or Age of Empires 3, with the cool kids. Then Microsoft called. 1/2

I've lived on both sides of the pond so here's my take Homeownership rates are 70-90% in Mediterranean counties. Croatia's is 91%. Spain's is 76%. Canada and America are in the 50-60% range. Auto loans in Europe require 20-30% down payment, not 0% APR with predatory rate hikes later. Croatians don't even have a credit rating (good). I'd rather not live in a Central Bank-owned economy, thank you Low salary + low debt + high net asset values + family inheritance + constant family social assistance + huge amount of relationships = exceptionally high quality of life Would not trade that for any sum of money, let alone access to cheaper loans.
