Everyone should have the absolute right to say whatever they want.
But you can’t then restrict people’s reactions to what you said.

While my intentions were well-meaning, I let my emotions get the best of me and misspoke. I cannot credibly hold others accountable for their conduct without holding myself to a higher standard of conduct. I fell short of that standard.

REAL TALK: I'm a “straight shooter,” but that doesn't mean I always get things right. I recently made the mistake of commenting on a private situation that did not involve me, using insensitive language to do so.
