@OJoelsen If Canada needs the US then why is the US mad we aren't stocking our shelves with US alcohol? 🤔

The Trump administration may not grasp how deeply these tariffs are alienating Canadians—the resentment could shape attitudes for many years to come. #cdnpoli #uspolitics

Hells ya!! No Canadians needs to drink inferior US booze when we make our own and have European and South American options too 🇨🇦

@filminwitfrends @KnowrCommentary @SStricklandMMA Who killed Charlie then and why? Old shit rifle with a shity subsonic round over distance shooting down and hitting a large bone is more plausible than an exploding microphone from Israel.
English

@KnowrCommentary @SStricklandMMA Find one ballistics expert on the planet that agrees with you on this retard Charlie Kirk bullet theory and we can talk.
English

@WayneWaldropW @SStricklandMMA Why TF would they kill Charlie Kirk? He's pretty much inconsequential
English

@SStricklandMMA Why do you think it's about paying off Tyler Robinson or the boyfriend? MK Uktra is real and so are intelligence agents.

@SpencerFernando All you gotta do is take these fires seriously and try to do something about the forests under Hudson bay. Trump said he would help you with land management.

Good-faith concessions from Canada have been met with further tariffs and further threats of economic damage. And as you surely remember, these threats are being made by a U.S. President who seeks to strip Canadians of our sovereignty in order to satisfy his territorial ambitions.
In response, some on the Canadian right have abandoned the love of country and willingness to stand up for their nation that is among the most valuable and laudable aspects of conservatism, in order to relentlessly blame Canada for Trump’s economic assaults on our nation. They have, in their hearts, their minds, and their souls, surrendered to either their fear of Trump or their greed for more power at the expense of their fellow Canadians.

@David_Moscrop You're companies would go out of business. You would have massive layoffs and your economy would collapse.

Let's stop sending potash, aluminum, and electricity to the US and see what happens.

Trump on tariffs against Canada: —“They need us to survive. Without us, there’s no way they can survive.”

@JeffreyLuscombe Does that mean we will get spray cheese in Canada?
English

@tejuvet @JeffreyLuscombe We hardly use hormones on our dairy cows. 85% of our dairy cows are hormone free.
English

@JeffreyLuscombe It'll go to waste. No one wants that hormone filled shit
English

@JeffreyLuscombe That's fair about our dairy but Canadian whiskey sucks. I have a feeling some Canadians will be hurtin without bourbon.
English

@JeffreyLuscombe I think it's about the smoke. That's what started this whole thing

@StormShadow204 @moonrappinradio @Tablesalt13 Also the phone was invented and got it's patent in the US. Look it up
English

@moonrappinradio @Tablesalt13 We invented the fucking phone you idiot lol
English

@StormShadow204 @moonrappinradio @Tablesalt13 You're internet runs exclusively through the United States actually. It could actually be turned off. Google it
English

@jmboltz8540 @Critter_Paths @Tablesalt13 You can make potash substitute in a factory. America already has these manufacturing capabilities. It's just potassium fertilizer.
English

@Critter_Paths @Tablesalt13 Actually, no, it wouldn’t be. The oil would be the pot ash.
English

@Tablesalt13 He's big mad lol. Time to shut off Canadian Internet.
English

@MrJoKeR604 I think the Senate will remain GOP. House is a toss up. Trump will still be in charge. Although nothing will get done in Congress. But that's normal lol
English

@Reil76 We should just shut off Twitter and Facebook to the Canadians.

Canada doesn’t need tariffs. It needs an export tax.
Here’s what the US actually cannot replace on short notice:
Potash. Canada supplies 85-88% of what American farmers put on their fields. Russia, the next largest source, covers maybe 9% of that gap. Squeeze this and it’s not a trade story, it’s a farm input cost story, felt at the grocery store within a season.
Uranium. Canada supplied 33% of the uranium that fueled US reactors in 2024, more than any other country on earth. The US is trying to expand nuclear right now to keep up with AI power demand. There is no faster way to sabotage that plan than choking the fuel supply.
Crude oil. Canada is over 60% of US crude oil imports, up from 41% a decade ago. Midwest refineries are built specifically to run heavy Canadian crude. You don’t just redirect that to Saudi light sweet overnight. Gas prices would feel it fast.
Nickel. Canada provides roughly half of US nickel needs. America has exactly one operating nickel mine. One.
Softwood lumber. About 74% of US softwood lumber imports are Canadian. Homebuilders are already choking on tariffs pushing housing costs up. Cut the supply and you make the affordability crisis worse, guaranteed.
Electricity. Ontario and Quebec feed power straight into the US grid. Border states don’t have a backup plan for that capacity sitting in a drawer somewhere.
None of this is about hurting Americans for spite. It’s about pointing out that the “just tariff Canada” strategy assumes Canada has no leverage. That’s false. These are inputs the US cannot substitute in months, some of them not for years. An export tax on any of these turns the pain asymmetric fast, and Washington knows it, which is exactly why potash and uranium got added to the US critical minerals list once this became obvious.
Trade wars run on the assumption the other side has no cards. Canada has cards. It’s just never been willing to actually play them.
