I was asked to redo the last video in English so every African can understand.
To all African countries and all African bodies like AU and SADC who have abandoned Tanzanians during this horrific time this message is for you. You left us alone to fight a government that killed over 10,000 of us and is willing to kill even more to stay in power. When we get help from Western countries we will need you to keep minding your own business like you are doing right now. We don’t want to hear nothing about a sovereign nation. When a government kills its own people to stay in power it loses the the right to claim its sovereignty.

Unamwambia nani kufuata sheria wakati wewe haufuati sheria.

Tanzanians marked their Independence Day under lockdown, with heavy security, social media restrictions, and unsanctioned gatherings outlawed to stifle expected protests. Recent deadly violence and this week's nationwide clampdown show Tanzania is neither stable nor a place where U.S. investment can thrive. This puts hundreds of American companies at risk and makes it clear the urgent need to review the bilateral relationship and U.S.-backed investments.

You are correct, Tanzanians are living in fear and are controlled by armed force. Over 10k Tanzanians were murdered between October 29- November 1st. Please scroll down this page to see some of the videos/photos documenting the Samia Suluhu massacre. Tanzanians need help from the international community to remove this illegitimate murderous government from power.
Local media has been silenced, and journalists who report information viewed unfavorably by the current government face the risk of kidnapping, torture, imprisonment, or even death. As a result, social media accounts run by diaspora activists—such as my own—have become the last remaining sources of uncensored information. They serve as essential platforms for organizing peaceful demonstrations, expressing solidarity, and sharing documentation of events such as the October 29 massacre. It is deeply concerning that @Meta , an American company, is assisting the Tanzanian government in suppressing these voices by restricting and removing the accounts of diaspora activists such as myself.
By removing my social media pages and WhatsApp accounts, meta has denied Tanzanians a central meeting point to share experiences, to have one voice and strategize on how to get justice and fight for their right for free and fair elections.

I’ve just gone through Meta’s statement showing for the first time that the Samia suluhu
Govt of Tanzania requested suspension of Mange Kimambi’s account and restrictions on Maria Sarungi.
And honestly, this is exactly why I’ve never been comfortable with Facebook or Instagram.
Meta will hand you over without hesitation even to a govt that could kill you.
It’s disappointing to see a platform choose convenience and profits over democratic values.
It's disappointing seeing a platform bow down to a Samia suluhu the worst Tanzania president
Whether Meta admits it or not, this is how repression gets enabled.
At this rate, we must all agree: Tanzania is sliding into authoritarian territory. Tanzania is literally the next North Korea
Meta should restore both Mange Kimambi’s and Maria Serungi’s accounts immediately.
No platform should bow to political pressure or dictators
If anyone in power dislikes criticism, they are free to block social media in their own country not weaponize it against citizens.
