Any Utah tech guys or startup guys interested in a cool idea? Start a fund for young families to make large down payments on homes. Tag the richest LDS people you know below and let’s get started. I want young Utah families to stay, not be forced to leave.

@MisSparkleQueen @MeghanMcCain We moved out of western Prince William County in Oct 2020 and regretted it. But seeing what's happened there since we left, I'm so glad we did!

@MeghanMcCain I don’t honestly know how long we will be able to take this. When my husband retired from the military, we decided to make Virginia our forever home. We liked it here. We’ve finally started making some roots and this commie bullshit is going to take that from us. I’m so pissed.

@ThisMomSaid President Holland was Area President when I was a missionary in London. He's not the first General Authority I ever met, but he's the one I had an ongoing series of meetings with. Such a funny and kind man. Get well soon and all prayers ascendant!

Sending my prayers for him. He has touched my life so much. I pray for his healing, whatever that may be. I know he’s tired and longs to reunite with his sweetheart. I pray this Christmas his loved ones may be able to be at peace as well while he is going through this time. I love you so dearly, @HollandJeffreyR. Thank you for all you have done to give me hope and healing in my life. 🙏🏻🫶🏼🫂

Wait did you just say the parable of the Good Samaritan *isn't* an example of how to live your life
Jordan Wyatt@STL_Shooter

No, it's not an own. I'm pointing out the fact that Christianity is not about doing good works because Jesus told us to. You are ignoring a major point in the Good Samaritan story by just quoting that one half a verse out of context. Why did Jesus tell this parable? Who did he tell it to? Luke 10:25 - 29 25 And behold, a lawyer stood up to put him to the test, saying, “Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?” 26 He said to him, “What is written in the Law? How do you read it?” 27 And he answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.” 28 And he said to him, “You have answered correctly; do this, and you will live.” 29 But he, desiring to justify himself, said to Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?” Who was Jesus talking to at the end of the parable? 37 He said, “The one who showed him mercy.” And Jesus said to him, “You go, and do likewise.” Jesus was saying this to a specific person. Taking off the "said to him," and the "You" make it seem like Jesus is on an Uncle Sam style poster pointing at the reader. That is not the point of the parable nor the reason Jesus told it. Jesus is the Good Samaritan in the parable. It's not an example of how you should live your life. I am sorry that you think someone pointing out plain truths in the bible is hostility.

I don’t care if others don’t consider us Christians. I don’t care about arguing with former members. I want to discuss ways members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints can prepare spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically for the Second Coming. I want to talk about how we can understand and live up to our temple covenants and priesthood responsibilities. This is what urgently matters. I’ll no longer waste time on trivial, contentious debates.
