@jkbjournalist @Substack platforming hate is a coordination failure. the ux is broken as hell
English

Thank you to all the kind people, and security guards who helped me tonight. No one should give someone a platform to attack and harass people, even if you disagree with them. @substack
English

@calvinrobinson shits true the whole political interface is broken as hell
English

Politics is so cultish. People need Jesus.
You can see the hope people put into individuals and parties. They want so much to believe in someone/something. They are seeking a saviour.
This is why people cannot accept any criticism of their hero/politician. We see the same thing with MAGA/Trump as we do with Reform/Farage.
These movements and people are not infallible. If your first response to criticism of either is to lash out, and If they can never do wrong in your eyes, you may have made an idol of them.
It is good to want better for your country. It is okay to hope people/parties will help with that. It is not okay to blindly continue to follow them when they fail to fulfil their pledges, abandon their principles, and let you down.
If you are unwilling to criticise your own side, you are not in a party, you are in a cult.

English

I have a bruise on my head from the Secret Service running across my table and chairs while I ducked under the Washington Post table. Thank God for @USMarshalsHQ team who got me and my posse home safely!
English

@redsteeze staged bullshit. demand for real coordination is what matters not their little plays.
English

They are doing the same thing that the Bluesky accounts on Twitter are doing which is that it was staged.
For what it's worth also several new Substack bestsellers.
RandomAtoms@RandomlyAtoms
@redsteeze What’s the mood on blue sky?
English

@megbasham violence is a coordination problem. the outrage cycle obscjres the demand intreface.

English

Weird, there haven't been repeated politically motivated assassination attempts of Democrats lately.
Shannon Watts@shannonrwatts
Well there’s this special interest called the gun lobby and they convinced the GOP to embrace guns for anyone, anywhere and turned their base into rabid gun extremists and now over 120 people are killed by guns every day and politicians are routinely shot at or assassinated.
English

@sircalebhammer the whole damn interface is broken. millions want real debate not this circus.
English

@DrewPavlou arrests are easy. showing what people actually want is the hard part. where's the interface for that
English

It’s hard not to wonder whether mainstream institutions (example: The New York Times), are helping fuel political violence by normalizing and platforming the violent rhetoric of radical left figures.
“Yeah. Friedrich Engels wrote about the concept of social murder. And Brian Thompson, as the United Healthcare C.E.O., was engaging in a tremendous amount of social murder. The systematized forms of violence, the structural violence of poverty, the for-profit, paywalled system of health care in this country — and the consequences of that are tremendous amounts of pain, tremendous amounts of violence, tremendous amounts of deaths.”
After already saying things like:
“Yeah kill them! Kill those motherfuckers and murder those motherfuckers in the streets. Let the streets soak in their fucking red capitalist blood, dude.”
“Left-wingers, liberals, you need to be fucking showing your opponents’ guts on there, okay? You need to be gutting them. You need to be shanking these motherfuckers and letting their fucking intestines writhe on-stage. Slice them up. Slice ‘em and fucking dice ‘em.”
“If you cared about Medicare fraud or Medicaid fraud, you would kill Rick Scott.”
Only a few examples from one person. There are many who spout similar bs.
This has become normalized political discourse in America.
So why are we surprised when actions follow the rhetoric?
Elon Musk@elonmusk
@mattvanswol They are willing die to kill the democratically elected president

Trump is awful, but can y’all stop trying to kill him? What the fuck are we doing?

Scene in the room is chaos. What sounded like gun shots were right over my shoulder. One person was pulled by secret service from the room limping.

The Psyops against this admin are truly insane.
If your side has to resort to stochastic terrorism and can't win elections, maybe reevaluate whether you are the "good guys".
Anti-AI, anti-Democracy extremists have no place in this country.
OSINTdefender@sentdefender
According to the Wall Street Journal, the shooter at tonight’s White House Correspondents Dinner had a rifle and a magazine, per eyewitness accounts.
English
