I've spent a long time getting the primitives built so agents can coordinate with each other. And here, we see that it's finally working! One orchestrator Codex handling 4 child Codexes. Reading from shared markdown, setting timers, reading and writing to and from children.

@ryancarson i moved away from Codex to Claude Code and the difference for frontend work is pretty big for me, curious how you find Codex for local work

My current setup: 1. backend eng + automations in cloud = devin $2500 / month 2. design = claude design $200 + $500 credits / month 3. frontend eng local = codex $200 / month

@moeghashim I think the Codex desktop app is just elegant and wonderful, and obviously I get GPT-5.5.

Codex team is aware of reports of GPT-5.5 performing worse for some users and investigating. We don't have anything conclusive yet and systems are healthy but we will share updates as we go.

I find myself agreeing with pretty much all the recommendations so yolo in certain smaller stories it by asking it to pick its own recommendation, move to the next and do the same until all questions are answered. I also have an instruction for it to write out all questions and selected recommended answer verbatim to a separate file which I can review and question at a later point as there’s tons of useful information there that might not be easily discernible from the to-issues

@ryancarson The bit they are missing is mcp like Paper so that we can use claude code for conversation with proper git project code in context instead of uploading

@ryancarson It’s already pay as you go after the quota. Check the settings area. But they do say it’s in early preview and it’s token are separate from the Claude plan. Hopefully it’s consolidated.

Sheesh y'all - building new features with Claude Design is just SO freaking good. One huge problem though: they need to add pay-as-you-go pricing once you hit your quota.
