Imagine a place where people could communicate around one shared idea and that only attracted people interested in that one specific topic thus cutting down on unnecessary noise and voices irrelevant to the topic being discussed.

@vasuman I wanted to use the metaverse but I never figured out HOW to enter, in facebook there should have been a button saying "Enter the metaverse" or something like that.

As someone who worked at Reality Labs: the Metaverse had real legs but was obliterated by middle management completely out of touch with how young people actually use technology. I built a V1 tool that game developers genuinely needed, and the moment it was done, it got shipped to a team in London (to die), and I was reassigned to a "higher-priority project" that zero developers asked for. Multiply that by every team, and you'll understand why this never took off yet cost 80 billion.

My favorite easter egg (or eggs...) is from DBZ Movie 7 during the part where Super Android 13 is smashing everyone, he hits Goku directly in the balls. IF you pause it at the right moment, the animators drew two eggs cracking to symbolize and validate that Goku's nuts have indeed been crushed! Poor Goku.

I don’t understand. This stuff is real, it exists, you can actually buy it, and yet the VR market is almost dead. What happened to the kids in the 90s who dreamed about this possibility? Why do modern kids now go crazy for games where you don’t really do anything, where at most you just swipe up and down, or spend their time screaming in stupid games that require no concentration, like amoebas with no curiosity? This stuff finally f***ing exists, and yet the videogame market pretends it’s invisible. F***! F***! F***! In 1998, when we were 13 playing Resident Evil 2 on the PlayStation with my friends, we would have killed to be able to play something like this.
