This is exactly what happened in France when they tried it.
It was soon scrapped due to massive fraud.

@Josh09887268904 @TRobinsonNewEra Oh no not a cuck, how will I sleep tonight 😭😭
English

It’s not fucking free though, is it Dave ?
It’s paid for by fucking taxpayers who will be called racists or right wingers by cunts like you for daring to question anything that the fucking government posits as ‘free’ when it’s our fucking money that pays for it.
Still. Give yourself a little fondle as a reward for being a patronising cunt for the 900th day in a row.

Many of the rightwingers attacking free bus travel for kids this August are old enought to get free travel on buses all year round

@TonyWard867811 Wow and all that happened in the space of 18 months. That’s crazy man.
English

Look around the town you grew up in.
The post office is closed.
The library is closed.
The bank is closed.
The pub on the corner is closed.
The bins come once a fortnight.
The roads are patched with patches.
The streetlights go off at midnight.
And your council tax has tripled.
You pay more. You get less. Every year.
Where did the money go.
To debt interest. To consultants. To officers with titles you cannot pronounce.
While the road outside your house breaks open. While the buses stop running. While the kids' playground rusts.
You pay for a country that no longer exists.
Bailey debases the pound. Reeves spends what is left. Starmer pretends none of it is happening.
Three names. One racket. Your home town.
This is what slow ruin looks like.
And it is only just beginning I am sorry to say.
Protect your family now and Opt OUT!

@Alex_Stafford @TfL Photo of your injuries or it didn’t happen.
English

Just been assaulted at the train station. Punched in the head and the face to the ground. @TfL staff did literally nothing, even when the assailant had left. Thank you to the fellow passengers who came to my aid. Sadiq Khan has lost control of the city. This is lawless London.

@Benleo @latam_nomad Interest rates down, NHS waiting list down, fastest growing G7 economy but he’s talking about flags.

@FrankBr05713205 Worked on a golf course when I was a boy, new bloke turns up with city shoes on and flymos a steepish bit of wet grass, slips and his foot goes up into the mower and chops his big toe off, boss comes along and tosses it into a hedge. ‘He won’t be needing that anymore’.
English

How many of you have seen or perhaps used one of these hover lawnmowers by Flymo? This is a 1980s model and was very popular for a while until they were banned for use in the United States due to safety reasons from what I understand. They had no wheels and rode on a cushion of air so they’re very easy to push. They’re still available in other countries and even in electric models.

@TRobinsonNewEra You did a great job Tommy 🇬🇧👍

The UTK Freedom Rally was one of the proudest days of my life.
What people didn’t see was the months of pressure, the last-minute restrictions, the chaos behind the scenes, and the incredible team who made it happen despite every obstacle put in our way.
This wasn’t just a rally. Something shifted in Britain on Saturday.
To every steward, volunteer, supporter and every person who donated £5, £10 or simply turned up peacefully - thank you! You made history.
Now the real work begins.
Get fit. Get healthy. Get politically active. Get involved in your communities.
We are the people!! 🇬🇧

Probably the least effective cabinet minister has to be @lisanandy who stood and watched the blatent bias at the @bbc as they systematically undermined a democratically elected Prime Minister day in day out. Shameful

If the 🇬🇧 Union Jack makes you cross. Respectfully, pack your bags and get lost.

A friend of mine got talking to a cop on Whitehall at the UTK protest. I won’t tell you what colour cap he was wearing so as not to identify him, but put it this way, he was Senior.
My friend didn’t video the exchange going for a more organic approach where the cop could speak freely.
My friend said to him, it won’t be long before you have new management, Ant Middleton.
His response, this is it, we just have to be patient (whilst the Mayor and Labour are leading) he said, just know that many of us here today stand with you.
Apart from those terrible arrests at Euston, the police were great, courteous, helpful, true there was a lot of them, but they weren’t hostile, tbh many guarding Downing Street were enjoying the show on the big screen.
