This is why every team needs a courtside ophthalmologist. Poked in the eye? Slap in some dilating drops during a timeout, turn off the arena lights, quick little indirect ophthalmoscopy, confirm the RD, off to hospital for surgery.

Dallas Mavericks All-Star Anthony Davis underwent a procedure to repair a detached retina that he suffered during the season, sources tell ESPN. Davis played through multiple hits to the face last year. He is expected to be healthy for next training camp.

@smlungpathguy I usually like to see the H&E first, then history, then consult report, then NGS, then AI before I come to my own conclusion

Like most things there is no one right answer but I like to see H&E without bias first.

In my training, I heard two different thought processes regarding how to approach signing out cases. I would like to hear from experienced pathologists which one they follow: Do you prefer knowing the pt’s hx before looking at the slide, or no hx?#PathX #PathTwitter #Pathology

Q2: I find it most challenging when there are areas of thin SIL within background conventional appearing LSIL, & p16+. I’ve usually erred on calling these “focal HSIL in a background of LSIL,” dunno if that’s the best approach
