@thenewarea51 The guys at airbus in Dallas told us an engineer discovered disproportionately spacing the blades significantly reduced fenestron noise.
Apparently he figured it out after he dissected his wife’s hair dryer and copied it - no idea if it’s true but it’s an awesome story 🤓

You guys wanna hear about the Fenestron? I adore bashing the Frenchies like any other American but I think they were onto something. Safety and less noise. I’ve never run out pedal flying a feny and the Frenchies deserve credit for this. 😎

I wanted nothing more in life to be an air traffic controller, a boom operator, an airline pilot, but here I am being the best helicopter pilot I can be.

@thenewarea51 @KathrynMClark2 I wanted to be an Air Force or Navy pilot and then go to the airlines - somehow found myself in Iraq as an infantryman - life does silly things.
Eventually I crossed over. Here’s to rotor joy 🚁 😂

I’m still trying to catch up with all of you and X is definitely throttling how fast I can follow people back, so please don’t think I’m ignoring anyone.
I do follow people back when I can, especially those with shared interests like aviation, military history, horsepower, training and fitness, surviving cancer, music, guitar, hockey, writing and editing, Gen Jones nostalgia, and thoughtful conversation.
If I skip an account, it’s usually because the profile is blank or looks like a bot/follow farm account. Nothing personal at all, just trying to keep this community authentic and enjoyable.
I’ve already met some truly wonderful people here and I appreciate every bit of the support for Supersonic Redhead. 🔥

My thoughts go out to Tulsi Gabbard and her family, as her husband battles this serious health problem. I hope and pray that he makes a speedy and full recovery.
While the circumstances around her departure are deserving of our sympathy, let’s be clear: Tulsi Gabbard’s only positive contribution to our nation's national security is her resignation.
She politicized intelligence. She dismantled critical agencies keeping Americans safe. She weaponized the IC to pursue baseless election fraud claims. And more.
We must ensure that her tenure — marked by a devotion to the person of the president and not to the security of the country — represents a terrible exception at DNI and not the new normal.
