I love the new aristocratic nomadic class. Most make their money from digital services or creative stuff on the internet but not like the average digital nomad, it's serious money, some influence the world discourse. The NY/SF/London striver dream has been superseded by this.

I have been eating nothing but McDonald's Happy Meals for 6 months straight. Yes, you read that correctly. Here's the math: Right now every McDonald's Happy Meal comes with a pack of McDonald's Pokemon cards. These are special promo cards you can only get inside a Happy Meal. A Happy Meal costs $5.99. The sealed McDonald's Pokemon card pack inside sells on eBay for $6.49. I buy the Happy Meal. I eat the food. I sell the cards. I make $0.50 and eat for free. I do this 15 times a day. I have not paid for food in 6 months. I make $7.50 a day for eating McDonald's. People can laugh but this is the greatest financial arbitrage on earth right now.

If this is real, it could be one of the largest data breaches in China’s history. A hacker group claims it extracted over 10 petabytes of data from a state-run supercomputing facility, widely believed by experts to be the National Supercomputing Center in Tianjin. This center supports thousands of clients, including research institutes, aerospace programs, and defense-linked organizations. What’s reportedly in the data: - Documents marked “secret” in Chinese - Missile and bomb schematics - Aerospace and aviation research - Bioinformatics and fusion simulation data - Files linked to major state entities like AVIC and COMAC Cybersecurity experts who reviewed sample data say it matches what you would expect from such a facility, though the full breach is not independently verified. Even more concerning: - The attacker claims access lasted months without detection - Sample datasets were posted online via Telegram - Full access is reportedly being sold for hundreds of thousands of dollars in crypto At this stage, the scale and origin are still being verified. But if even partially true, it points to a serious vulnerability in infrastructure tied to China’s scientific and defense ecosystem. If a centralized system like this can be penetrated, what does that say about the security of the data it was processing? #China #Cybersecurity #CCP #DataBreach #Geopolitics #Tech cnn.com/2026/04/08/chi…

If you're still not convinced that grub is total garbage software, Fedora has 428 patches to make it usable. Gentoo has 94, NixOS has 92, even Debian has 69. Even dysfunctional distros patch Grub. Arch has 8 patches (3 .patch, 2 reverts, 3 sed edits). Guix has 19(2 are .patch files), and it's The GNU Distro. Grub is not good software. Please stop using it.

Please write to your MEPs to oppose untargeted mass scanning of private communications (Chat Control). On March 11 Parliament voted 458-103 to limit scanning. Today they vote again (!!!) and those protections could be watered down. Act now: fightchatcontrol.eu

And after voting that out too... 🇪🇺 ChatControl is back with a vengeance The Conservatives (EPP) are attempting to force a new vote TODAY (March 26) seeking to reverse the European Parliament's NO on indiscriminate scanning of ALL your private messages, emails and photos This is a direct attack on democracy and blatant disregard for your right to privacy If you're European contact your representatives now, with this handy form: #contact-tool" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">fightchatcontrol.eu/?foo=bar#conta… If not, please share this tweet so more people see it and we can block the vote It's crazy they keep just bringing back whatever they want until it's passed! Obviously now we see the European Commission is controlled by powerful evil lobbying groups 👺

Just a month later and... 🇪🇺 ChatControl is back! Now they're trying to pass an even more far reaching ChatControl law through the back door, in a form even more intrusive than the originally rejected plan, without needing any of the EU countries votes The new proposal: - total mandatory surveillance of ALL text chats, emails and social media in the EU - obligatory registration of your ID/passport to your chat, email or social media account - minimum age requirement for chat, email and social media apps of 16 (!) The only way to stop this law is if EU countries veto it Read more here by @echo_pbreyer: patrick-breyer.de/en/chat-contro…

Little known fact, the Anthropic Labs team (the team I joined Anthropic to be on) shipped: - MCP - Skills - Claude Desktop app - Claude Code It was just a few of us, shipping fast, trying to keep pace with what the model was capable of. Those early Desktop computer use prototypes, back in the Sonnet 3.6 days, felt clunky and slow. But it was easy to squint and imagine all the ways people might use it once it got really good. Fast forward to today. I am so excited to release full computer use in Cowork and Dispatch. Really excited to see what you do with it!
Claude@claudeai

You can now enable Claude to use your computer to complete tasks. It opens your apps, navigates your browser, fills in spreadsheets—anything you'd do sitting at your desk. Research preview in Claude Cowork and Claude Code, macOS only.

Think it might be worth it to join the TSA line, and sell your spot with someone at the back once you're about 75% through. Get someone to faciliate the deal by asking people at the back if they're willing to pay for the spot. Could probably make a few thousand a day if executed well

Opus 4.6 is what Opus 4.5 was the first week, they probably couldn't release a better version in time for February and nerfed 4.5 just to play it like this
