After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today. I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby. It has been an honor serving under @POTUS and @DNIGabbard and leading the professionals at NCTC. May God bless America.

Tears and typing incoming... 😭 $1 MILLION passed with @Twitch's donation. 6 years ago, the Fallout community rallied together when @medic_wasteland and @DrCJMartin needed desperate and immediate help. From those acts, that kindness and taking care of our own, a small pool of passionate #Fallout76 players gathered to fundraise for @StJude and in one week raised over $109k. That week became a homecoming, a mission, a cause, and now comprises of a team of now 850+ creators, streamers, cosplayers, artists, writers, podcasters, prop builders and post apocalyptic larpers from 86 countries. I've often wondered what it is about Fallout that distinctly created such a uniquely giving community, one that acts more like a family (in all its complexities) than just another gaming fandom. So, why Fallout? I think because all of us grew up living in a world at the end. We all had a choice, we all walked a road, we fell in love with characters, and wastelands and through our choices shaped the world. The fact that NOW you all have done that for people you'll never meet is nothing short of remarkable. Thank you. Do not know if this is true but if so, that will heavily impact access to international talent for US. This type of visa is for ( young ) people with exceptional skills. The ones that really have contributed to a lot of innovation. Any US science colleagues who want to comment?
