Next year is going to be crazy! I'm starting up my own business / product and I have no clue if it's going to work. I'm putting my own money on the line which makes it even scarier. But I want to make a change and help people move to a more sustainable energy future.

@himarkbrown Good luck Mark, if I can help at all let me know! Only other recommendation is to get a decent accountant from the start. Visit a couple, find someone that fits what you. I visitted a couple, the first was far too corporate, the second fitted us a lot more closely

The new EV mileage tax is 3p per mile. Small number, dystopian future. The big question is how they plan to charge it? Every EV is already an internet-connected computer. So what’s next? - A central mileage register that quietly logs every journey? - Automatic tax deductions from your bank account the moment you drive? - A car that simply refuses to start if your balance isn’t topped up? And once the infrastructure is in place, how long until 3p becomes 5p… then 10p… then £1? Nope.

@Hendasow @MartinSLewis Was just thinking this. To be honest, most of my mileage over the last two years has been in Europe. France, Spain, Italy, Switzerland. Even the Swiss £45 a year to use their roads is better value than this. How ate they counting this mileage?

@James_M_South Claude 4.5 and GPT 5 both gaslight the fuck out of you. To be honest they are very similar for coding, almost nothing between them.

So I stumped up the cash. I can, with confidence say that GPT Pro is snake oil which provides no discernible benefit compared to the Plus model. It ignores very clear instructions and will constantly gaslight. Hallucinations are rampant and farcical. It’s a rip-off.
