In all fairness I think she has a case. Maybe the outcome will be a minimum standard of vehicle size and capacity for ride share services.. Better yet, why don't the damn car companies make vehicles other than small sub compact vehicles (in order to push people to more costly suvs) like they had in the past. Remember the days of the crown victorias, chevy caprices, and other large full size vehicles designed to transport a full car of adults..

Lyft driver refused this woman a ride because his vehicle was too small for her oversized body. Now she is suing. This is what happens when the media normalizes obesity. She should have gone to the gym, not the lawyer’s office.

@MboroPoliceDept So missing some key details. The CRV was a mail carrier car with ACTIVE PEDALS on both sides. And you let a man who can’t feel his leg try to get in and stomp on a pedal (while car is not in park). Extremely negligent, not a freak accident in those circumstances. Terrible

UPDATE: The woman severely injured in the accident in the parking lot of Longhorn Steak House Dec. 23, died from her injuries. The woman is identified as Cathy Pendergrass, 61, of Warrenton, VA. She passed away December 28 at Vanderbilt Medical Center.
