@85FProductions@TomTeeLegend It’s not possible (or legal) to announce such a thing before it’s public. UK distribution of Heljan were notified a week in advance.
@smccarron@TomTeeLegend this aint about the accurascale range. this is about the heljan range. Orders cancelled, shops learning after the announcement, and the range is now only direct.
So it does effect retailers.
Woke up today and apparently this is how the model railway world is looking at accurascale atm.
For context, the heljan deal means now you can only buy that catalogue from Heljan/Accurascale, cutting off model shops who didn't get informed about it at prior!
@TomTeeLegend thats what I initially thought when it announced, tho from what they say in the video, heljan will continue to produce its own models. The big problem is the lack of comunication between accurascale and its retailers about this change
Finally ‘finished’ my lovely @accurascale class 31. Lovely model. Amazing detail. Great runner. Looks like a proper grot box now I’ve finished with it!!

@erixtar1992@FirstGW_00 If that was remotely true Hornby would win every award goo going as they are by far the biggest online footprint and brand awareness
@FirstGW_00 Its the same at the hornby mag awards each year too mate. When its based on the amount of votes, its always going to favour the bigger online presence as they have more people that they can get to vote for them.
So I finally got around to picking up an @accurascale Class 60, grabbed a random Dapol 8 function decoder, which will run the loco, but no tail lights and it seems to have stay alive that happens very fast and in only one direction. Any thoughts anyone? Do I just get a LokPilot?
@Davids_trains@accurascale Happy to hear your Pannier is stellar ✨️💯
Everyone gets a 🍋 once in awhile. My biggest gripe is the newer trend of "design against serviceability"; locos should be easy for customers to open up to clean and repair

Here are a few photos of my @accurascale Pannier tank out of its box, it does look stunning, really pleased to have got one and in the livery I wanted, also nice to get some experience of an Accurascale steam locomotive as I have not had one until now.
@Davids_trains@accurascale Hope your experience is good. My Buckjumper was over-gauged and struggles around 3rd radius curves and points. It actually "buckjumps" when running backwards over points. I was hoping to self-replace the wheel set myself, but the brake rigging is glued in making it unservicable
@ThomasEvansAdur@accurascale We depend on the carriers for the updates which at this time of year can be variable for obvious reasons. Delighted your models got to you!
@accurascale Not much point telling customers orders are out for delivery an hour after item was delivered?
Also, who puts a single train in a large box and two trains in a small box?
Utterly bizarre packaging.
Would've been nice to have something not released in RTR before. 08/9 and the 10 I can understand with more but there's nothing wrong with the other 08s available on the model market...
Speaking of models. I need to start using mine again
@CornbrookStreet@accurascale The plan is that the wiring and socket approach will be added to add suitable models and couplers will be available in a range of options and types.
I feel like this line from the @accurascale announcement has been overlooked. Is this DCC uncoupling that can be fitted at a later date to the base 08? As opposed to Bachmann's SF Deluxe only approach? Could this appear on other Accurascale models later?
@GoldieRailz@EdwardKing02 they are not delayed. They are simply being checked by customs and should start shipping to customers in the next week or so, and I’m not sure what the comparison to another manufacturer might be.
@EdwardKing02 Genuine Thoughts? I’ve debated getting one particularly now that the accurascale panniers have been delayed, but I’m cautious of it being a Heljian product plus the price is a little insane for my liking
My Heljan Class 28 arrived today!
Pretty great detail on it, and it weighs a TON, tho I am a bit baffled that the door handrails are part of the DETAIL BAG now unlike the OG batch, especially for its price and exclusivity.
Obvs will become BoCo when I decide how to go about it.
@accurascale so my class 89 is here and wow it looks amazing, but, I have all accurascales models and again parts falling off, I appreciate the level of detail, but can we just get the parts fitted so they don’t fall off?
Has anyone got the new @accurascale 89 yet and worked out how to lower the height of the pantograph? If so lemme know i can't find this info anywhere!!
@RuleOneRailways Bachmann models naff and Dapol's model just isn't as visually appealing. Trying to get hold of an Accurascale Manor at all is nigh on impossible due to inflated second hand prices.
Accurascale have announced batch 2 of their GWR Manors! Their exclusive model is of 7827 'Lydham Manor'
I'm practically begging for 7802 Bradley Manor 😂
@FirstGW_00 Most sound files up until now have been based on low speed running and recording from the cooler room leading to a more ‘tractor’ sound which isn’t at all how they sound from the lineside.
Look what arrived yesterday! Accurascales 60, 60033. Got it purely for the livery! The first job was to replace one buffer beam with a detailed one and get rid of those ghastly see-through couplers!
This is the DCC sound option, not a huge fan of the sound file on it though!
