in this case, i wanted to verify a hypothesis i had around dynamic capabilities registration in the language server. i tried talking with sonnet, but it hallucinated with wrong assumptions, without ever reaching the depth of the problem, let alone solving it. it would have taken me hours to find and read the code, follow different cases, and point out the line i cared about. then i asked gemini, and the fact that it matched my mental model and collaborated with me like a peer all the way through, baffles me.
