Please retweet special appeal to help Snowy aged 14+ find a home #Hereford #Herefordshire #UK Available for adoption, registered British charity✅ Our darling little Snowy is 14.5 years old, we are very sad to say he was a stray that was never claimed 😢 Poor Snowy has a mouth full of horrendously rotten teeth so will be undergoing dental surgery very soon as long as his pre-op health checks are all good. It’s likely that dear little Snowy will lose most, if not all of his teeth. Snowy is a typical elderly dog, he’s still very mobile but sometimes wanders round like a little lost soul, thankfully we feel he is totally unaware of recent events as he appears to be in his own happy little world. Luckily, Snowy has held his weight well and doesn’t seem to have had a shortage of food but his fur is lacking condition and a bit patchy in places, we are hopeful that with lots of continued love, care and attention his overall general condition will improve. As Snowy is not yet ready to be fully adopted, we are hoping to find him a wonderful foster home who can support him through his upcoming surgery and ideally be able to offer him a forever home once he is ready. We would like to minimise any further upheaval to our little golden oldie. We are looking for a kind and caring home who can cherish Snowy for the rest of his days, a calm and quiet environment with a safe and secure garden where he can potter around at his leisure. A home local to Herefordshire will be required due to veterinary visits at our lovely Brookfield Vets, #Hereford & #Ledbury. A home without young children would be needed. Any other dogs in the home must be very gentle and kind. We would love to hear from you if you feel you can offer little Snowy a wonderfully warm sofa to snuggle on. Please share Lost Golden Retriever, "Summer". “Summer” Golden Retriever 18/01/2025 Very timid rescue dog Summer, 9.5 yrs old, partially blind, has bolted from home address on Castle Drive, Kielder just outside front gate, when going for walk at 10am on Saturday morning. She is wearing a red and black harness, a red double lead and a green collar with I.D. Because she is almost blind, she is unsure of her surroundings and will avoid built up areas in favour of countryside. Summer is likely to seek shelter in confined places such as behind garages, inside barns, sheds, undergrowth etc. If you would kindly check your gardens for any signs of her visiting that would be appreciated. She can move quickly across open ground and may have travelled some distance from home. She is unlikely to come to you when called as she is so timid and nervous, yet she has a very soft nature. Please check any CCTV that may show her moving about. Should you manage to see her please do not approach her as she is likely to bolt again. Please try to make the area secure and note the location.
