Same numbers. Completely different narrative. You know it’s true.

@Dylan12695203 @BleedOilBlue I'm not defending it, it's understanding the why. I would've resigned him, but you have to recall before the offer sheets, before Bowman was hired Jackson spent their cap space on established NHLers who unfortunately didn't work out

@smobocop @BleedOilBlue Was he not stapled to the 3rd line most of that season? Even still he was like a 15th overall pick and the offer was 2.29 million. That's like mid 3rd bad 4th liner money. I don't get defending this move at all. Plus what player is a finished product at 22?

Subban saying Edmonton has never been that close to winning… They lost by one goal in Game 7 of the Stanley Cup final. You literally can’t get closer than that. Is it too much to ask that National broadcasters know basic facts about teams in the league?

u see there now . mcdavid usually is gutted after loss like this . he sort of has ' whatever ' look to him now . he looked sad for 2 secs or so and sort of shook his head like he expected this . has a fed up dead tired look to him . he injured and mind has to be racing ' what will i answer to the insane media i will get in few minutes

These are the Oilers we've seen all season. They can play well but can't sustain it. Their mistakes are horrid. They can't stop the bleeding. They stubbornly stick to what they think should work, even when it doesn't. The Ducks are playing with passion and pace.
