@Average_JoesL @steelers @UPMC You make a fair point. There is no way we're drafting 12 players, and so the hope was that the Steelers would have moved up for anyone. I would have loved to see them go up and get downs or vega. I think fans want to see a sense of urgency, given the last 5 years

@smoothnessguru Not sure how much interest Pittsburgh has in Chris Bell or Lane, I don't know if they met with them at any point of the pre-draft process, Skyler Bell is certainly a name to watch if they decide to not move up.

@2goodatdoingme @DavidMTodd I think everyone has been so disappointed with the Steelers' WR room the last 5 years; everyone is just craving more in addition to all the pre-draft hype and rumors. Jakobi Lane is a sleeper I hope the Steelers grab. If the guard from Oregon falls in the second id like him.

The Steelers had a good offensive line in 2025 and it meant nothing because they had no one to throw the ball to. Enough of the “Build the trenches” stuff. It’s already built. They needed a playmaker.

@smoothnessguru @DavidMTodd So how does Lemon fix that? One of his biggest drawbacks is that he's small and on the slower end. If they take a WR in rd 2, how much of a drop-off in talent is there? The drop-off after day 1 is significant on the o-line, especially for tackles.

@Steelers4evr @jimwexell I don't disagree, but it's hard to get the best ones in the back half of the draft. We are teetering between rebuild and retool. We need to pick a lane. I think Steeler Nation would be ok with one bad season if it meant getting QB 1 if Howard doesn't work out.
