@kylegriffin1 @CWilliamson44 Why no videos isn’t this 2026 lol

@TheTristanRaven @rednecki_borsuk @BrettSiegelNBA No it all comes down to the Lakers and Cavs for that matter finding a third team to take their contracts. Otherwise he goes back to the Hawks and tries again next summer while retaining bird rights:
English

@smoothprophet @rednecki_borsuk @BrettSiegelNBA So it might be a situation where they end up needing to consolidate on a trade with a team who might also take Vando and capital. All it comes down to is what Kuminga is willing to sign for. Most reports coming out are really about the years and money at this point with Kuminga.
English

With Hezonja heading to Cleveland, that leaves one suitor for Jonathan Kuminga:
The Los Angeles Lakers.
I would expect a sign-and-trade involving Jarred Vanderbilt to be completed there with the Hawks.
Brett Siegel@BrettSiegelNBA
Mario Hezonja is joining the Cavs.
English

@TheTristanRaven @rednecki_borsuk @BrettSiegelNBA Who is this mythical third team 😂😂. Yall act like Vanderbilt is a hot commodity. If he was so hot why not start him?
English

@smoothprophet @rednecki_borsuk @BrettSiegelNBA A trade exception lasts for a year. They could use it next year when they're not hardcapped. I don't need to follow the Hawks to know how the CBA works. Deep enough into the summer and the busiest part of FA that the trade exception is something of value next summer.
English

@TheTristanRaven @rednecki_borsuk @BrettSiegelNBA Also what trade exception do they get? I am curious all these “reports” say the hawks taking the Lakers trash, so where does the trade exception come from?
English

@smoothprophet @rednecki_borsuk @BrettSiegelNBA Hawks get a trade exception the size of whatever Kuminga signs for.
English

REPORT: Jonathan Kuminga is expected to land with the Lakers via sign-and-trade, with a deal potentially being finalized within the next 24 hours.
The #Lakers get their guy 👀

English

@smoothprophet @rednecki_borsuk @BrettSiegelNBA Hawks are ready to do a sign and trade with the Lakers but Kuminga is the reason why it’s still on hold. He wants more $
English

@rednecki_borsuk @BrettSiegelNBA Then what do you give the Hawks cuz that’s literally all the Lakers have to give. See how the math is mathing 😂😂
English

@smoothprophet @BrettSiegelNBA Kuminga is still asking for more money since he is forced to sign longer contract. Nobody will take Vando to "help lakers" but somebody might take vando to get few seconds or a swap.
English

@rednecki_borsuk @BrettSiegelNBA If that’s the case it would have happened already. No one is taking Vanderbilt to help the Lakers
English

@smoothprophet @BrettSiegelNBA He didnt report Hawks will get Vando. He just said Vando is involved in S&T
English

@NYSoul2x Nope, hawks have to send out more players than they receive. Nope send Vanderbilt elsewhere.
English

Hawks Out:
Buddy Hield (2/20) + S&T Kuminga (3/45)
For
Lakers Out:
Knecht + Vando (2/26) + Lakers SRP
Why?
👉Hawks get out of unused Hield and his 2/$20 contract plus add a young Knecht and SRP.
👉Lakers get Kuminga. Salary matches and gets under $8.1 first apron.
Owen Prescott@Owen_Prescott
The Los Angeles Lakers are exploring a trade that would bring Buddy Hield to Los Angeles while also landing Jonathan Kuminga via sign-and-trade. The Atlanta Hawks would receive Jarred Vanderbilt, Dalton Knecht and multiple second-round picks as part of the framework.
English

@HawksStan77 @JerWhitten @Lakersided310 @NsRicky_ @KeithSmithNBA @FrontOfficeShow Poor Mo Gueye on the rookie scale non-guaranteed minimum
English

@smoothprophet @JerWhitten @Lakersided310 @NsRicky_ @KeithSmithNBA @FrontOfficeShow They have 17 actually Vando makes 18
English

Keith Smith thinks the Atlanta Hawks are ready to do a Kuminga sign + trade with the Lakers for Vando plus draft compensation and that the hold up is on Kuminga’s side. Thank you @KeithSmithNBA @FrontOfficeShow
English

@JerWhitten @Lakersided310 @NsRicky_ @KeithSmithNBA @FrontOfficeShow Why do the Hawks want Vando? They have 16 players on the roster taking Vando gives them 17. For the millionth time try again Vando won’t be a Hawk not for a first 30 years from now and a couple 2nds 😂😂. Offer that to the Nets or wait no one has cap space now. So….
English

@smoothprophet @Lakersided310 @NsRicky_ @KeithSmithNBA @FrontOfficeShow This is ridiculous, multiple seconds and a first swap is enough to unload a 25m aav player, Vando doesn’t make that much
English

@smoothprophet @NsRicky_ @KeithSmithNBA @FrontOfficeShow Some teams value Vando for his size, defense, and hustle. Shame JJ Redick never valued any of those things.
English

@BamaBigBird @NsRicky_ @KeithSmithNBA @FrontOfficeShow Carter is technically expiring contract unless they pick up his team option. Team vs player option is a big difference.
English

@smoothprophet @NsRicky_ @KeithSmithNBA @FrontOfficeShow That's because Smith is assuming incorrectly based on us doing something similar previously (but Carter is a much more reasonable contract. No chance we take on Vandy for a pick swap.
English

@lakers24ate Why these aggregators keep lying to yall 😂😂.
English

The Lakers and Kuminga stalemate explained:
Lakers: Willing to pay around $15–16 million annually in a sign-and-trade.
Kuminga: Wants over $20 million, and if he takes less, only wants a one-year deal.
Hawks: Willing to facilitate a deal centered around Jarred Vanderbilt + draft compensation.
Holdup: NBA sign-and-trade rules require a minimum three-year contract, preventing Kuminga from signing the one-year deal he prefers.

English

@AChad92 @NsRicky_ @KeithSmithNBA @FrontOfficeShow Kuminga is going to back to the Hawks on a 1+1 to keep bird rights going and try again next summer.
English

@smoothprophet @NsRicky_ @KeithSmithNBA @FrontOfficeShow Yeah I hear you there. TBH not sure who still has cap space like that either. Bulls, Nets? Vando doesn’t make sense for Hawks since they got Dort
English

@smoothprophet @NsRicky_ @KeithSmithNBA @FrontOfficeShow Well then hawks aren’t getting any okcks back if that’s the case
English
