@mara_yamauchi The federation of their own sport banned these athletes and informed the IOC. The IOC took no notice. This is wrong on every level. We must not let this rest.

What on earth?! It is absolutely NOT the case that “we are all agreed” to not go back to sex testing. Don’t you dare try & speak for others. Female athletes when asked, wanted it to keep cheating MEN out of our sports! 😡👎
Le_Sorelle_Arduino KPSS@Sorelle_Arduino

@iocmedia spokesman @Marq ‘I hope we are all agreed we aren’t going to go back to the bad old days of sex testing’ Why not Mark? It was a simple cheek swab @sharrond62 @mara_yamauchi @Martina @FWSSport @fairplaywomen @SexMattersOrg @seaningle

@BBCNews why are you repeatedly asking why Huw Edwards wasn’t sacked? You cannot sack someone for being arrested. What happened to innocent until proven guilty? Indeed nothing was found on the initial accusation. Once charged/convicted it’s different

Very interesting the international boxing association’s statement. The IOC have been told repeatedly this is unsafe. They just don’t care.

@jk_rowling Very envious of your location, it’s my husband’s birthday too, he’s very happy to share it with you and Harry. Covid means we’re delaying celebrations.

@NickyAACampbell Just to put in balance, no company would instantly sack an employee who has been arrested. It could have all been false, innocent until proven guilty. They would have risked a wrongful dismissal case. They HAD to suspend until charged distasteful as that might be

Let’s think about the children in these images. Callously exploited and psychologically destroyed. They are not images. They are humans who will live with this forever and all for the twisted pleasure of the disgusting men who trade and swap this misery. And don’t call it child ‘pornography’. journalists. It is ‘abusive images’.

@TVKev In any other job would you expect someone who has been arrested but not charged to be sacked? Lay themselves open to wrongful dismissal? Just because someone is accused does not mean they are guilty. Suspension is appropriate and no doubt HR and legal advice was sought

Culture Sec Lisa Nandy has called BBC chief Tim Davie to an emergency meeting after the shock revelation that the dud state broadcaster carried on paying Huw Edwards despite knowing he'd been charged with serious paedophile crimes. Davie should be fired, but nothing will happen.

@CMSaunders01 The Police will be ensuring they gather all the evidence necessary with no slip ups to ensure a conviction. They have witnessed these awful events and will want to get it right. It takes time. All these heated lynch mobs don’t help bereaved families.

@paulh_85 @ill_nojie @Weanie4 This is unbelievable. My late mother would have been in this situation. Only her pension no savings she had dementia and her home had to be sold eventually when she was no longer safe at home. What do you suggest people do.?

@ill_nojie @Weanie4 This is a pensioner who owns their own home. I don’t suppose for one moment they did at the age of a graduate.

(13/13) With winter now just over the horizon, the Government should halt their proposed change to WFP and think again, given the clear evidence of how it will hurt the older people who need it the most.

(10/13) This proposed policy change is therefore certain to result in more older people experiencing a horrible 'eating or heating' dilemma.
