I've automated the way I do work with a more structured and formalized ralph loop. now I've written about it for those who are interested in doing something similar, as well as released the code if you want to try it for yourself: richsnapp.com/article/2026/0…

i agree, everyone is all in on this "ui is dead, everything needs to be dynamic" the problem is unless what you can do with the product is literally anything in the world (chatgpt) it's worse still need to have a way to progressively disclose to users what features your app has, workflows they should be doing, etc

This translates to mobile lighthouse below. The core vitals metrics pass which is more realistic given it is real users. In the sense that the average person who visits this site has much better internet than the average person. So it isn't missing his target.

so... I audited Garry's website after he bragged about 37K LOC/day and a 72-day shipping streak. here's what 78,400 lines of AI slop code actually looks like in production. a single homepage load of garryslist.org downloads 6.42 MB across 169 requests. for a newsletter-blog-thingy. 1/9🧵

Here are the core vitals. Average user of this site on mobile sees it in 2 seconds not 18 seconds with a 2 second FCP not a 6 second one. So while I consider those lighthouse scores really bad for the category of site, the real numbers show it isn't punishing his average user.

Many of the people I know my age are beyond disappointed in our government. It’s not even a left vs right thing. We’re tired of watching our leaders fail to pass power to the next generation and make decisions that serve only themselves. It’s an act of selfishness beyond compare.

@Mayhem4Markets just a low-volume squeeze. i own some VCX since october and what most these tweets don’t mention is that we’re locked up from selling our shares for 6 months. i think they did one offer right before ipo in feb that wasn’t locked and that’s all the shares being traded afaik.

i have an alias i created: clauded='claude --dangerously-skip-permissions' i'll switch to it when i get sick of accepting permissions. it's also a nice verb so when my computer gets fubared people can be like "damn, you got clauded"

@AArdvarkErick @tannerlinsley as someone who worked in ad-tech, the phrasing was accurate. you may have misunderstood but that is very different than misleading. also, nice blog post @tannerlinsley appreciate the insight

@tannerlinsley Well that was misleading phrasing. We removed third-party ads……. now they’re self-hosted ads!

📣 We removed third-party ads from tanstack.com! The site is faster, simpler, and more honest now. Still not perfect, and still more work to do. Read about the process, progress, and what's next in our blog post: 🔗⬇️🧵

@matteocollina These benchmarks suggest that Next.js performs poorly. However, it is not really intended for self hosting. if you choose Next.js, it’s better to simply go with Vercel @rauchg, I would love to see a similar benchmark for these frameworks when they are deployed on Vercel.

Readers spotted that compression was not applied consistently in our React SSR benchmarks. TanStack Start had it disabled while the others had it on. We disabled compression everywhere and re-ran the tests. Here are the corrected results.

There is nothing more important than understanding how reality works and how to deal with it. The state of mind you bring to this process makes all the difference. I have found it helpful to think of my life as if it were a game in which each problem I face is a puzzle I need to solve. By solving the puzzle, I get a gem in the form of a principle that helps me avoid the same sort of problem in the future. Collecting these gems continually improves my decision making, so I am able to ascend to higher and higher levels of play in which the game gets harder and the stakes become ever greater. #principleoftheday
