Lufthansa announces that it will retire its A340-600 fleet at the end of the summer. Additionally, the airline will ground 2 747-400s. The -400 will be phased out of LH's fleet in 2027.

Interesting... data (1941 census - top-20 cities) shares a lot of insights about history! Look at the top five cities 85 years ago, just before independence. Delhi was quite small, compared to Calcutta, Bombay and Madras. It was also smaller than Hyderabad, Lahore and Ahmedabad (a buzzing industrial textile city then). Pune and Bengaluru were quite small! Smaller than Kanpur, Nagpur, Lucknow, Agra. In Maharashtra - Sholapur was quite big (relatively speaking, compared to today). According to historical records - Pune was among the top-10 populated cities in the country in the late 18th century. However, it had slipped significantly downwards in the 19th century in the British era...and remained there until the 1980s, when its rapid growth began again. (via @RupakChatto)
