If this boy keeps scoring until the end of the season, he should be on the plane to the World Cup. Confidence is a huge part of goalscoring and he will be full of it right now. He’s got 10 goals since Christmas, not to mention what he’s scored in the Championship before then.

A super easy place to start with pension reform. If you get a public sector pension above £20,000 per annum you lose your state pension. This is easy for the Gov to track and should be phased in gradually so it's £20k for 2040.

Bit narrow minded to view this from a standpoint of unearthing a global superstar. Squad needs to have players in form and ready to deliver on a big stage. Should also be an opportunity for post WC as this isn’t supposed to be a one off. I had a look and here is a list of those who didn’t make the recent friendlies. Most were available. @scotball_ Maybe trying a different striker. Dykes has his days but he hasn't played well for a while. Others in better in league and others scoring more.

Overall I don’t think we deserved to be on the losing side tonight. Ultimately our lack of cutting edge let us down again, which has to be a major concern ahead of the World Cup. I’m hopeful the availability of Lawrence Shankland and Ben Gannon-Doak can make a big difference.

The Scottish striker playing at the highest level is Oliver Burke (Union Berlin). McBurnie is scoring, but did he burn his bridges with Scotland? Robbie Ure & Ross Stewart decent shouts. TBH, I expect Dykes, Adams, Hirst & Shankland in WC squad, but we should also look at others.

We really don’t do friendly games. I think it’s a mentality thing with us. the team needs that intensity and drive of competitive games that just isn’t there in these games. We saw that after we qualified for Germany the drop off was notable. Hopefully not the same now. #SCOJPN
