That much is very, very clear to us and to all Australians who give a fucking damn about the future of this nation and, indeed, the very future of the humans on this planet. So while many Australians are finding it increasingly difficult at present to decide who to vote for in either state or federal elections because of the refusal of so many politicians to openly condemn the genocide in Gaza (among other neo-liberal deficiencies), at least we’re all pretty clear who Aussies SHOULDN’T ever vote for. And of those individuals and parties, Pauline Hanson’s PHON has to be the absolute worst choice. For many reasons, of course, but firstly because of her startling yet not surprising grovelling over one Donald J. Trump. Even though many Aussies are conservative in their thinking, surveys show more than 80 percent of us hate Trump with a rising passion. Not only do Aussies see him as the despicable pedophile, rapist, grifting liar and hateful neo-Nazi warmonger he genuinely is, but more recently Aussies also put the blame squarely on him for steeply rising fuel prices and potential food security and stagflation issues (not to mention the evils of both ongoing planetary instability and the pain of everlasting wars). So just as Peter Dutton discovered when he lost a federal election largely because of his slavish worship of Trump, so Hanson will also discover that her open love of Trump and Trump’s white supremacist policies will hurt her badly as she attempts to become a larger political force moving forward. Witches can help. Please spread our memes about Hanson and talk to your friends and relatives about what Australia might be like if she gets her own way at our next federal election. Tell ‘em what Australia might be like if she gains more power in our parliaments and uses it to further damage women’s rights, harm asylum seekers and immigrants, relax gun control laws, and pander even further to our own Trump-like fascists. Tell ‘em how far this country will sink if it continues down the USA’s recent even-more-frighteningly authoritarian path. And tell ‘em that although they may not like any of the political candidates or parties on offer at this time, a protest vote for Pauline will be the very worst thing they can do for their own future. The more we can send this message leading in to several upcoming state and federal elections, witches, the more we can help try to stem the incipient fascism and racism now dangerously on the rise here as well as in so many other countries. Because comparing Pauline to Donald is - by far - the best way we can arrest her rising popularity and cause our wavering friends and loved ones to think the fuck again in the ballot box.
