That's quite the conundrum liberals. Lucas Zelnick's crowd work is elite therapy session + roast.
Some traumas hit different. Getting beaned by a highly propelled rocket? That's top-tier. Meanwhile, a trans woman barista clocks in at Starbucks, then pivots to designing those same rockets for a defense contractor.
How? The world may never know. Did the latte art build character? Did the pronoun pins prepare her for classified briefings? One minute slinging oat milk, next minute slinging hypersonic propulsion.
Zelnick just asks the real questions in the moment—trauma PowerPoint? Rocket motors in therapy?—and lets the absurdity breathe. Pure gold. Crowd work like this reminds us comedy doesn't need safe spaces; it needs sharp eyes spotting the hilarious contradictions of modern life.
Laughing beats overthinking every time. Just let him cook.
