If we finally get an empathetic and sincere leader after these locusts, it’s then you’ll realize Nigerians are not adaptive as we assume. They’ll demand for things they didn’t demand under the leaders that hate them.

Decided not to wear the infinity ♾️ branded cap to neutralise the "slave comments". And that's the thing about chains. Physical chains are easy to break but a slave at heart knows no salvation. Unmoisturised giant blobfish.

Alex Otti says that he wants to remove Abia State from the National Grid completely, "even though it's a PRIVATE enterprise" and many Nigerians are busy cheering him and his idea like this is something truly positive. Are we really a serious people at all? Imagine the entire electricity of a state being owned and controlled by private enterprise(s), doesn't this leave the people at the mercy of the firm? Or you forget that electricity is a basic amenity that should be provided by the govt if we have serious leaders? Has privatizing anything ever benefitted the masses in this country? Take the only working refinery for example, today we are at the mercy of Dangote, he can increase and reduce prices at any time, and we have no choice because we are dependent on that one refinery that is privately owned. If Abia goes fully private, consumers will most definitely pay more, because there's a 99% chance the govt won't step in to regulate in the long run, and of course, it's private so the goal is to make profit whichever way neccesary. Abia State govt gets allocations, but wants to privatize electricity. The problem with many Nigerians is that once someone is put on a pedestal, logical thinking automatically goes off the window.

There was a time in my life when I was very active in making contributions to bereaved people and giving wedding presents. When it came to my turn, only my very close friends came to my wedding, and when my father died, nobody sent me anything. I didn't keep score or plan revenge or anything; I just stopped doing what I used to do because I realized it didn't make any difference whether people contributed or not. I was even happy that they did not. I planned my wedding together with my wife and her family, and I was happy my friends joined us. We did my father's funeral quickly and got it out of the way because it was a very sad period for my family, and the conflict over property didn't help matters. The crazy thing is that there are people who still bear the guilt of not being able to assist, and I keep telling them that all is well, but they don't seem to believe me. I never want to guilt people into believing that they owe me because I also try not to get into positions where I feel too indebted. The beauty of friendship is that things should flow normally and uninterrupted; it should not be a burden. Some African friendships sometimes become burdens as there are too many obligations and expectations. Family is another thing I have now learned how to handle. I don't expect too much from family members anymore. They should live their lives in peace. I used to hold a grudge against some family members over some meaningless things, and I wasn't happy that they didn't show up at my father's funeral, but that is all in the past now. It didn't make any difference. My cofounder and friend of 35 years died and was cremated in australia and I was not there. I started to feel guilty, but I realized that if he were alive, he would have understood the headache of getting a visa and planning the trip. The beauty of our friendship over 35 years was that we did not place needless burdens and obligations on each other. I still plan to go visit his family there soon, but it will be after the world has settled down and flights make sense. I wish I had made this trip much earlier, as we had planned, but I also know that Salil would understand. He was a truly great friend.

Meet Engr. Ikechukwu Monday, (MNSE, FNSE). He is the expert, the brain behind some of the wonders you see in Abia state. Here is the handle, go & follow him @hikemann. Monday is the Commissioner for Power & Public Utilities. We all know he won’t go back empty-handed. The reason is simple: “he was poached from General Electric as an engineer to head the Power & Public Utilities Ministry in Abia state.” A power & energy expert with vast experience in Gas & Steam Turbines. He is an Alumnus of the Federal University of Technology Yola & Roehampton Business School, London. Former roles include: Engineering Manager at Sulzer (Netherlands), Gas Turbine Specialist at GE (Africa & Middle East), Obajana Cement & Granite Services. He is driving electricity access, solar initiatives, mini-grids, transformer distribution & water scheme rehabilitation under Gov. Alex Otti. He is dedicated to powering businesses, lighting up Abia, & improving lives in the state. Alex Otti has simplified governance. If he succeeds in pulling the state away from the National Grid, Abia will become the first Nigerian state to achieve Energy Autonomy since independence. In fact, it would become the first to achieve Energy Security since 1914. He has made other sub-nationals look like jokes. He sent his commissioner for works to the Netherlands to negotiate the energy deal. He didn’t have to fly abroad himself. He is right there in Abia facing the business of governance No excuses, no sharing of rice. Just reliable electricity, infrastructure & industrialization 👏

I can understand the pain of Isa Salami... He always had a soft spot for Bola Tinubu right from his ADC days. His pain has been recessive against the PDP, Jonathan who booted and humiliated him out of office as a Judge with allegations of perjury. His attack on Peter Obi and not the kangaroo election petition tribunal we saw post 2023 elections is simply because Bola Tinubu is the one involved.

I just saw the VIDEO of APC Governors singing “On Your Mandate” to close their emergency meeting yesterday. Tinubu’s “On Your Mandate” song has now replaced the National Anthem while Tinubu has become the “constitution and the federal govt.” The pathetic reality of Nigeria!✍️

Deji Adeyanju has been shouting that coalition is the only way the Tinubu regime can be sacked. In 2023, he insulted Peter Obi and Obidients daily for not joining forces with Atiku. Now we have a coalition in ADC, and what does Deji do? He criticises and insults politicians in the coalition. He insults Obidients trying to make the coalition visible. He paints the coalition as a group worse than Tinubu. What is the implication of this: Deji is working for Tinubu, as we've always said.
