In all good faith, I feel like the goalposts are been moved here. I feel as though you’re still confusing two different claims: 1. “We have evidence worth considering.” 2. “We have conclusive proof.” Nobody is saying “God is proven in the same way a in a lab through the scientific method.” The point is that evidence does not need to be conclusive before it counts as evidence. Also, “theists haven’t even come close” is just another assertion. Theists have given arguments from contingency, causation, intelligibility, fine-tuning, consciousness, moral realism, religious experience, and the historical case for Christ. You may reject those arguments, fine. But you don’t get to pretend they don’t exist, or act as though “physical evidence” is the only kind of rational evidence. So the issue remains: are you rejecting the actual arguments themselves or just demanding the wrong category of evidence?
