The day before Melania’s White House statement, April 9, a woman named Amanda Ungaro posted a series of messages on X directly tagging Melania’s account. One of them read: “I will tear down your corrupt system, even if it’s the last thing I do in my life. I will go all the way. I am not afraid.” Those posts racked up hundreds of thousands of views. The next morning, Melania was behind a podium at the White House talking about Epstein and now Amanda Ungaro's account is private. Coincidence? No. So who is Amanda Ungaro and why does she matter? Ungaro is a Brazilian-born model who arrived in the United States in 2002 at the age of 17. She flew to New York from Paris on Jeffrey Epstein’s plane. Her modeling agent at the time was Jean-Luc Brunel, who was later criminally charged with procuring young women for Epstein. Brunel died in his jail cell in Paris in 2022 in what was ruled a suicide (we all know it was not a suicide though). Ungaro has said there were roughly 30 girls on the flight and that they looked like students, not models and that they were very young. She said she found it “very strange.” She never saw Epstein again after that flight according to her statements. After arriving in New York, Ungaro met a man named Paolo Zampolli. They began a relationship when she was 19 that lasted nearly two decades and they had a son together. Here is where it gets critical. Paolo Zampolli is the man who introduced Donald Trump to Melania. He ran a modeling agency called ID Model Management, and in 1996 he sponsored Melania Knauss’s immigration to the United States on an H-1B visa. In September 1998, Zampolli introduced Melania to Donald Trump at a Fashion Week party at the Kit Kat Club in New York. Every version of the “how Donald and Melania met” story starts with Zampolli. Zampolli’s connections to Epstein are documented. In the early 2000s, Zampolli and Epstein discussed buying a modeling agency together. Zampolli was also named as a partner in the TerraMar Project, the ocean charity founded by Ghislaine Maxwell that was shut down the day after Epstein’s arrest in 2019. Zampolli’s name appears multiple times in the Epstein documents released by the DOJ. In a phone interview with the Daily Beast, Zampolli described his relationship with Epstein as “one of necessity,” saying Epstein was a financial partner of Victoria’s Secret and he had to deal with him through the modeling industry. Today, Zampolli serves as Trump’s special envoy for global partnerships. So the man who introduced Donald and Melania Trump was business-adjacent to Epstein, partnered with Maxwell’s charity, discussed buying a modeling agency with Epstein, appears in the Epstein files, and now holds an appointment in the Trump administration. That is the person connecting all of these people. After nearly twenty years together, Ungaro and Zampolli split. She married a Brazilian physician and was living in Aventura, Florida. In June 2025, she was arrested on fraud charges related to a medical spa. Before she could post bail, ICE agents picked her up. According to reporting by the New York Times, Zampolli contacted David Venturella, a senior ICE official, and told him his ex was in the country on an expired visa. During a call to ICE’s Miami field office, Venturella noted the case was “important to someone close to the White House.” Ungaro was held for three and a half months, transferred to a facility in Louisiana, and then deported to Brazil. Her son, who is 15, remained in the United States with Zampolli. They are now in a custody battle that Ungaro is fighting from another country. DHS said the deportation was standard and denied political motivation. Zampolli denied asking ICE for favors. Melania’s office said the First Lady has “no knowledge of, nor involvement in, the personal affairs” of Zampolli and Ungaro. And then, on April 9, Ungaro started posting threats and on April 10, Melania made her statement. If they release some of the remaining 2.5M files this week, you know the dirt she has is bad. She must be protected at all costs ❤️
