In hiding for two years, the Dutch artist Bob Hanf was betrayed in April 1944 and sent to the Westerbork camp. From there he sent two letters describing his arrest, transport, and physical appearance, and wondering, “What will be the end?”.

@kunktation I once had the questionable gig of writing “humorous” copy for genitally shaped vegetables assorted weirdos would mail in to Hustler magazine. Lots of hefty cucumbers and odd vaginal squash.
Weirdly, now I’m a vegetarian.
